We went to disney when the twins were 6 months old and everything went great. they were not mobile yet ( ie crawing) which is a godsend . I don't think it would have been as easy if they didnt like their stroller and wanted to crawl. We also switched them to the baby bjorns sometimes to get them out and give them a change of view. We took them on some childrens rides in the baby bjorn as well and it worked out great. I say if you have hlep go for it. We are so glad we took our 6year old. We are pretty easy going though so this may cloud my judgement to the experience. Hard to know what else to say if you have questions let me know and i will do my best to answer them.

I would actually say that's a perfect time to go. At that point they are still pretty content to be in the stroller so you will be able to walk around and really enjoy everything. They will still be napping a couple of times during the day. I think that is a great opportunity. GO FOR IT!!! And have a blast.

We live in Orlando and took ours at 6 months also. It was a wonderful experience. They just stared at everything in awe. Their favorite ride was Small World. I would say, however, it took my DH and I both to manage the whole day...you will need help. Have fun!!

So glad you posted this...I was trying to post on the Travel Forum but it has become Read Only. We are taking our girls in March...they will almost 10 months old. My husband's family lives in Orlando so we are going to do a mini vacation and stay at Disney (DH and I) for four days while MIL and FIL watch the girls. But we plan on taking the twins with us the day we go to the Magic Kingdom. What rides can we take them on at this age besides its a Small World???

If you go to Disney.com there's an interactive map-thingy that lets you choose the age of your children and it suggests appropriate rides. Ours loved: Dumbo, Small World, Winnie the Pooh, People Mover, Peter Pan (actually, this wasn't a huge hit b/c everything is below you), and meeting the princesses. I am a musician and played at Disney over the holidays to earn some tickets....can't wait to take our girls again!! Since I live in Orlando, I go to Disney alot. Let me know if you need other info.

We went when our twins were 10 months, they were wonderful, but it was challenging. It was had to get the double stroller on/off the busses and I had to hold both twins on the bus, so DH could hold the stroller. We had to have all bottles ready to go when we left the hotel, and had to stop and feed the twins, not always at meal times for everyone else though.

But it was doable. If you have family to help, that makes it that much easier as well. We went with family and they would often take our older DD with them and we would catch up to them after feeding/changing diapers etc.

We went this past November, when my boys were 8 months old, their big sister 2.5.

It was incredibly challenging, but sooooo much fun. The boys went on a few rides and we had so much fun, we're planning another trip for next November.

We did stay on - site (at the Disneyland Hotel) and could not have had a better experience.

Here is a great forum about Disneyland. http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/forumdisplay.php?f=13

It came in very handy when planning out trip. This section is all about parenting in the park.

This is a thread about Disneyland for little kids. Lots of great recommendations here. http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?t=79133

    Happy planning!

I have a silly question. How do you manage naps on a day out to a park like this? We are in FLA and I would love to take them to the zoo even but they NEED their naps so how do you have them out all day at Disney World and still get two naps in (mine are 8mos. old)? My Jack and Lily do not sleep in their stroller or the car.

We took our twins to Disney when they were right around 6 months. They were great. They weren't mobile yet but they would watch the characters and things like that. We are leaving again in 6 days. We are going to Disney for their 1st bday. I can't wait. We watch Disney in our house all the time. They should really be fun this trip!

Naps went out the window. lol I had planned on timing things well, going back to the hotel (we stayed onsite) for naps and such. Well, the first day we had a room change, so were room-less for most of the day. The second day, my friend from LA came to see us, so we didn't stop for naps either. Honestly, I am a nap freak, but for a few days, I tried to not worry about it too much. They basically slept in the stroller. At the end of the last day, one of my little guys fell asleep in a highchair, sitting up in a restaurant. They were such troopers.
