What age is appropriate to take kids to a live show like this? They will have just turned 2 when the shows come through town, and we're not sure if they'll be ready to do a live 90-minute stage show yet. They do know and like Pooh and Tigger, so they will recognize the characters. But I'm not sure how long they'll last, and whether it's worth it to buy 4 tickets to something that they might not enjoy.

So what's your experience with live shows - how old before it's worth it?

We just took the girls to Sesame Street live. They turned 2 on 9/1 and the show was at the end of the month. My girls LOVE Sesame Street and were totally into it. They loved seeing the characters and they did great!! The show we picked ended right at lunchtime, so that was a bit of poor planning on our part because one of mine got cranky toward the end because she was hungry and tired. But otherwise, I would do it again in a heartbeat.

We took the girls to see Disney on Ice, about 2 weeks ago. They are 20 months old. They loved it. They had a intermission ( about 10 minutes) halfway through the program. It was great. the girls really enjoyed it. would definetly do it again.

My kids were just shy of 3 when we went to Playhouse Disney Live and they loved it, but didn't participate like the older kids. I think right around 3 is probably the earliest I would go.....hope that helps!

I took a 2.5 year old and 15 month old to Wiggles Live and they both loved it!

We took the girls to see the Wiggles right after their 2nd Birthday and they LOVED it!! I was thinking of Elmo live, but they like Elmo, but don't really LOVE Elmo, so I think we may skip it. But they LOVE the Wiggles. I say if they are really into Pooh and Tigger, go for it!!

Thanks for your responses so far - now that several of you have said maybe we should go for it, I have a follow-up question. Is it worth it/necessary to spring for the seats right up front - or are the seats further back/higher up okay? I know I actually prefer seats a little further away for myself, but I'm not sure how well the show keeps the attention of the kids who are seated further away. I've just never been to a show like this before (no kids in my family until mine), so I have no idea what to expect. Thanks!

And in case it helps anyone with further advice about whether we should spring for it or not - I don't know that I'd say they LOVE Pooh and Tigger, but they definitely recognize the characters and get excited when they see them. What they LOVE is Hi-5, but they're not touring and probably wouldn't make it to little Spokane even if they did tour.

    Thanks again!
