So I was planning on a VBAC for this one and it looks like we are going to have a scheduled c-section. I am so disappointed. The baby is transverse and has its legs over its head (weird!) no-one thinks it'll move. DH says to be happy there is a baby at all which after 2 m/c last summer I know I should be. It just isn't what i hoped for.... in terms of birth

I would be disappointed too. Can they try to move the baby?

Just because you are disappointed with having a c-section doesn't mean you are not grateful for this baby. The two are not connected.

 I too was in your situation of wanting a VBAC and worried that it wasn't going to happen since I was having a big baby. I heard that the midwives at the clinic would suggest putting ice on the top of your belly & play soothing music near the bottom. What would it hurt? No matter what happens, I know all you want is a healthy baby. I hope you get the birth you want.

I don't think men understand what a big deal a birth is to a women. :pardon: I'm sure he was trying to make you feel better but it doesn't. Of course health of your child comes first. But to have your heart set on a VBAC and instead be facing a c-section? It's ok to be disappointed. I understand and hope your little baby flips so your dream comes true.

Thanks everyone... It is so nice to have people who understand! twoplustwo-- Thank you so much for that comment!!!

JicJac- I am going to try ice. I have been doing other things but the baby seems to hate them and stops moving I actually almost called the doc b/c it didn't move almost all day Sat and it has been super active.

I am trying to come to terms with the section... I am just sad. And they couldn't schedule for the day I originally picked and I have this weird thing about an odd numbered birthday.

I thought I was the only one. I do not like odd numbers for my family members birthdays! Ours are 2, 18 and 24! And our anniversary is 26!

How funny mine is the opposite! Our bdays are 13,17, and 19 and our anniversary is 29! All my family bdays in Oct are odd numbers too 11,13,15,17 (this baby will be Oct.)

Check out spinningbabies.com. They have a bunch of suggestions for turning babies. You still have 3 weeks, it isn't too late.
