Just wanted to share. We went out for dinner to a restaurant with the kids! There is a sushi restaurant that we used to got to a lot with our older daughter even when she was little and we have been only a couple times since the babies were born and never without more adults than kids. Tonight my DD misunderstood what I was saying and got all excited about going out for sushi, so we thought why not. The babies were great, smiling at everyone, no meltdowns. The 3 y.o. behaved wonderfully. Admittedly we went at 5:30 and were out of there by 6:15 but we did it! Yay! :a_smil09:

We don't have a toddler to deal with in addition to the twins, but it's hit or miss taking them out sometimes. Glad your first venture out was a good one! Hmmm, now I think I want sushi for dinner!!!

That's awesome! Keep up the good work. Someday, we'll be able to go out to eat again----- maybe when they are all 10 years old!!!

Good for you! Isn't it nice to get out, and with the whole family, and have it all work out! We did it too last week, but we went to subway. It was pretty funny all 7 of us in the booth and two highchairs. But it was really fun! Glad you had a good time!

Good for you and your well-behaved kiddos! It makes it so much easier when you know you have the option to go out without things descending into chaos. Cheers to more dinners out for your family!

I really happy that it went well for you.

Maybe I am the minority, but we go out to eat all the time with the kids. Mostly lunchtime ( I meet my mom while she's working) and we pick "kid friendly" places most of the time, but none the less, it's always sit down restaurants. You should see the look on the peoples faces when I ask for "2 adults and 3 highchairs" LOL The twins are always great and love to get out and see things. It's really fantastic when we get comments on how "well behaived" the kids are!

I hope this is just the beginning and you get out a whole bunch more! :drinks:

Congrats! I can't wait till we can go out again! We have my nephew's 1st birthday this weekend at a restaurant and it will be their first time. Once they can sit up better unassisted we think we'll attempt to go to Friendly's. There are always so many noisy kids there it won't really matter if one of them has a meltdown  We can just pay the bill and leave and chances are nobody will even notice!
