Different uses for Bumbo seats

The only time I really use our bumbo seats is to bathe the boys. I will put them in the shower with me. They sit in their seats and play with their keys while I take my shower and then I bathe them one at a time while the other just chills and enjoys the warm water. They really like it and it saves a lot of time.

I was wondering if anyone else had a different time saving (or sanity saving) use for their bumbo seats?

 

You can use them to take your babies shopping, you set them in their bumbos in the basket and put the groceries in the seat part.

You can use them as temporary high chairs when you go to visit.

 

I used them as highchairs for quite awhile.

 

I used them for temporary highchairs when we visited family and they would sit in them for reading time.

 

Wow, those are great ideas...why didn't I think of those!?!? My have been sitting in the corner collecting dust because I had no clue what else to do them besides putting them in the seats for 5 minutes...I am going to use them in the bath and take them to the store!!! Great ideas.

A warning...they can be used in the shower, but not in the bath. I tried that once and didn't know they floated. It was a disaster! My poor little babies were bobbing all over the place!

Now that my guys are rolling like crazy, I put the bumbo next to me on the couch when I tandem nurse them. That way I can deposit one guy in the bumbo, while I get the other situated, and then deposit whoever is done first while I finish and burb the other.

Also, if anyone in your house plays the piano (dh does here), put them in the bumbo on the piano while someone's playing. They LOVE this! They can feel the vibrations of the music and watch the person playing at eye level.

 

OK, maybe I will hold off the bathing with the seats! lol

 

We just discovered a use for them as seats in a kiddy pool. We fill the pool up a little and sit them in their bumbos in the water and they love it so much. They kick their little feet and splash. We didn't have a problem with the bumbos floating, they stayed put once the babies were in them.

did you buy the tray attachment when you used the bumbos as high chairs? or did you just feed the babies without a tray?

 

I put them by my garage door and when I brought one out to the car, I put the other in the bumbo to wait for me until I came back for him.

I am so sad this weekend...they can escape the bumbos now! It was great to feed them in when I was at someones house.
