    Hi all,

My twins have different sleeping habits and I'm not sure what to do! My daughter can sleep for hours, and she's a deep sleeper. My son wakes up at night, he's a light sleeper, and he sleeps a lot less.

Should I have them on a different sleeping schedule? I mean put my daughter to sleep before my son at night, so that they wake up at about the same time in the morning? At the moment my son wakes up one hour or more before my daughter. They do take their nap at the same time but she sleeps longer.

Has this happen to anyone? What did you do? Any suggestions?

To me, it sounds like you have it worked out fairly well. My only other thought (depending on how old they are) would be controlling the nap time for DS.

    How old are they?

It sounds like you are decribing my kids except it's my daughter that doesn't need all the sleep. Right now we put them both down at the same time for naps and bedtime. It takes my DD a lot longer to fall asleep, but DS sleeps right through her making noise. I have thought about seperating them into different rooms, but one won't go to sleep unless the other one is in thier bed as well.

Hopefully someone has some good advice, because we could use it also!

    hi,
they are 20 months old. It's working well, but my son keeps on calling his sister and it seems like she is alway been woken up by me or him. If I let her sleep she can go for hours, so then their meal are on a different scheduele. He wakes up at about 8am and she can sleep until 10 (if I let her). Do I still keep on waking her up? Or put her to be earlier? I think she might need more sleep than him.

That sounds like my two now. Trevor wake up in the morning before Emilie. But they both go down for a nap at the same time. Emilie wakes up from her nap earlier than Trevor. So she sleeps later in the morning, but he takes a longer nap. I see nothing wrong with that. I just make sure they nap at the same time.

If it works for your family, it sounds fine.
