    Give him the boot!

    Serve him his eviction notice!!

Don't make him too comfortable in there!!!

BTW: Spicy food, long walks, steep treadmill and sex did not help me.

    Just thinking of you!!!

That's what I thought yesterday. Today I woke up with a splitting headache that started on the top of my head and spread down through my jaw, a sore throat and feeling like I'd been hit by a truck. The thought of going through labor feeling like this is just not pleasant. I'm feeling a bit better after a bath (that my DH helped me out of, LOL) and some Excedrin. But now I'm hoping Spencer decides to wait a couple of days til I can get over this cold or whatever.

40 weeks and 2 days...maybe you'll get to 41. How long did you go with the twins?

Dielle had a post a while back where she announced the name of the baby ... so no, I don't believe it was a secret!

I hope you feel better, and Spencer chooses a wonderfully appropriate time (yeah right!) to show up!

I'm pretty sure I posted before about finally coming up with a name. But yes, Spencer. I was induced at 37w5d with my twins. Went 8 days late w/ Sage, 42 weeks with Trey (when they broke my water to induce because I never went into labor on my own), and 6 days late w/ Adam. Being induced isn't all it's cracked up to be, IMO, but I'm pretty ready to not be pregnant and welcome this sweet little guy into the world, so if I don't have him by Friday, they'll induce me then.... hopefully just breaking my water will be enough and no pitocin!

I hope he comes soon and you don't have to use Pit! If I need to be induced this time I am also hoping they can just break my water. I'm excited for you!

Well if you want to hear nice things about pitocin I can say them, BUT in the end we had to break my water anyway as I was maxed out on pitocin, had not had drugs, and was laughing and chatting no problem.
The water breakage is when my troubles began LOL

I hope that baby comes soon and all on its own!!!!

The 20th is a great date!!! That's my twins first birthday. Well, my only suggestion is real pineapple worked for my late number 4 and my friend's recent baby. My babies tend to come late too. I love the name Spencer great pick.

I think you posted about that a week or so ago. I'd never heard that before but tried it a few days ago and it didn't help. Maybe I should get another one.

I've been thinking about you ever since your due date! I'm so ready to meet your little guy!

I have to tell you that I spent an entire day in L&D the day before I had Livi b/c I had a migraine so bad I couldn't open my eyes, listen to any kind of noise, etc. It was probably one of my worst days ever. It was so bad. I kept thinking it was pre-e and I would have to deliver and kept thinking about how bad I did NOT want her born that day b/c my head hurt to breathe, having a baby would not have been enjoyable. They finally gave me Nubain, which eventually dulled the headache adn it went away...only to have my water break the next morning! I think it was the blizzard that she was born in (worked like a full moon or something)...lol! Then, I had a terrible chest cold and coughed (hard) for the first 2 weeks of my c/s recovery. That's NOT a good thing to do, I was miserable.

So, I hope you feel better REALLY soon and I hope you go before Friday! You must be so anxious to meet Spencer! I can't wait to see him and hear all about it! Best of luck to you and your family as they prepare to welcome the newest addition! Are the girls excited?

Holy cow, Becky! What a way to start labor! I'm feeling a little better today. I think now though, I'm kind of hoping that what happens is I go in Friday morning, I've dilated a little more and am pretty effaced, so all they have to do is break my water. We live in the boonies and with the other kids, in all honesty, it'll just be easier that way. There are a number of people from church who've offered to come sit with the kids until their grandpa can get here, but still it's just a little crazier if it happens that way. We'll see!

Dielle, you are inspiring me to be PATIENT!!! :D I'm 39 weeks this weekend and so anxious to not be pregnant anymore. You're a week past your due date and seem so calm and unperturbed! I will be anxious to see if you have news tomorrow - and I am so glad you are feeling better!

I really wanted to either have the baby before or get past my daughter's birthday. She just turned 11 and was very concerned about having to share her day. And I do kind of figure there's no point in making myself any more miserable by being crabby about it. Last Friday the receptionist at my midwife's said, "Wow, it's your due date and you're so pleasant. That's not always the case!" I just laughed, because why not be? I'm very ready to have this baby, but since I'm close enough to being induced tomorrow, now I'm almost just hoping I don't go into labor today. We have everything arranged for dealing with the other kids, and such. And since I live a half hour from the hospital and my DH works 40 minutes the other side of the hospital and wouldn't be here to drive me, I'm a little concerned about what would happen if I had a quick labor. I have a number of people who've offered to help, and I know we'd work it out, but the scheduled time just sounds better... even with an induction being what I'd have to deal with. Still, it feels so crazy to think that by tomorrow I'm going to be holding this new little one. You'd think it wouldn't be such a bizarre feeling, after having done this so many times before. But I'm still having a hard time totally picturing being the mother of SIX! I am excited though!
