My "older" twin LOVES to put things up his nose. I have so far this week suctioned a gummy bear out of his nose, plus I just got out the 2nd raisin of the morning. I can't stop feeding him, so it's just something I have to deal with. But what is wrong with this child?

My girls can't eat raisins...really, they swell on their stomachs too bad. They get really BAD belly aches and then poop out "grapes" :) Noone else's kids do this? I guess they grow out of it the older they get?

:rotflmbo: This made me laugh too! My dh was taken to the ER as a child because he stuck something up there (it's escaping me right now what it was) and his mom couldn't get it out. I hope my girls don't inherit that trait or I will be pm'ing you for advice!! LOL!!

    TMI, but...

My mom always tells us that she had to cut the raisins in half for us, so they'd get better digested, if ykwim!

My cousin use to do this when she was little she use to stick the fuss from a blanket up her nose and one day she had put a dead fly ( at least I hope it was dead) up her nose :bad: . I Think it is just a think that some children go through like picking their nose. But it did make me lol

I guess Lucas could have a bigger problem: I had a girlfriend growing up whose mother took her to the doctor for REALLY horrible breath. He took 3 pieces of rotting meat out of her nose. :p

Oh my gosh....this has to be the most disgusting thing I've ever heard!!

My kids don't have issues with the raisins... don't really understand why that pp would need them cut up...I mean didn't she chew them up???....if so they'd already be in small pieces in her belly??? but maybe she was swallowing them whole! So far no one has stuck anything up their noses in this house...my 4 year old swallowed something last week though...and today my 2 yr old ds pulled poop out of his diaper at naptime and smeared it all over his room. he might have eaten some...it was on his hands...does that count??

    :shok: Ewwwww!!!!

Although I have to say that this reminded me of my mom... bear with me heheee... Years ago she had an ear ache and went to the doctor to have it checked out. The doctor pulled a Dentyne gum wrapper out of her ear. She remembered back when she was a kid she was in bed chewing gum and she wasn't supposed to so she swallowed the gum and put the wrapper in her ear. She forgot about it and 30 some odd years later it finally caused her problems. At least her ear was minty fresh instead of smelling of rotting meat. :unknw:

Wow, I guess you learn something new every day! I never knew that about raisins! I'm definately gonna have to give them some tomorrow and then inspect the diapers!
