Did you ever think your water broke?

My water broke with both my kids. With DS I was standing in the kitchen and it was a huge gush. With DD it was in the middle of the night and I thought I peed myself. Took me a good 30 mins to realize my water broke and I wasn't leaking urine.

Well last night I was getting ready to bath, I started the water, got undressed and went to get a glass of water to drink from the kitchen. By the time I got back I felt some wetness between my legs, but it wasn't running it was just dampness. I spent the next hour trying to decide if it WAS my water or just discharge.

I finally finally decided it was discharge only because even after several position changes (standing, walking, sitting, laying down), no large amts were coming out.

Any one else had that much discharge that you thought it was your water at first?

I slept all night, no gushes or large trickles so I don't think it was my water after all, but it was still worrisome last night!

 

I had the same thing happen twice. I went in both times and AmnioSure said it was not my water so back home I went.

Yes! I actually went in on Saturday because on Friday and Sat (and still) I kept feeling something leaking from the vaginal area. To come to find out it was just a lot of vaginal discharge. I was 3cm dilated and I assume that that is why the secretions are coming more often now. Oh the joys of twins!

I really was freaking out last night, but I know with my dd altho it started as a trickle, when I went to L&D and laid down for awhile while they monitored her, when I stood up it was a huge GUSH! I left a pond from the observation room to the OR! So I know since I got up several times last night and there was no major leaks that it can't have been my water.

But it's still there in the back of my mind...... *sigh* Who knew being pregnant with twins would be so stressful and worrisome?!?!

thats happened to me twice. Once when i was in the shower and then another time when i was just about to get it. I put a pad on walked around, sat, rested etc to see if it was my waters but both times just dripples on the pad.

Even now i feel wet etc, and i've put it down to discharge. They did say when i went into the hospital for tightings that i had alot of discharge. So i guess that its just that.

But i still have the doubt that it could be my waters. Like someone said the joys of being pregnant with twins.

The nurses did several Amniosure's on me when I was in the hospital on bedrest. I don't know if I was extra paranoid because of all the complications I was having, but I thought for sure several times it had broke and I was wrong every time!
