There is a saying that you become your name. Altough I was named after my grandmother Barbara, I am being calld Bonny and well I guess I am very femine and girly and love all things nice... so to speak. having thought about it I looked at the girls and realised that they too have "become" their names. Athena the Greek Goddess of wisdom and war, is just that. She is very clever, will look at how thing are done and then just do it. And for the war part oh my goodness she is the one who will cause most of the fights in the twins' fights. Victoria, although it means Victory, she acts more like the Queen Victoria of England. What a missy and she really likes things her way or no way.

It is really very cute though.

I think most people just get used to the names - but there are some that do "fit" a particular name better than others.

I think you are right! My girls just "fit" there names - Ava is a much better Ava - it means delicate little bird and she is much more delicate than her shark like sister! Addison is much more fiesty and out going - like her daddy!

Nope. Trevor's meaning is "prudent" and he is about as far from prudent as one can get... I don't see that changing. Having called him Trevor every day of his life, though, he seems very much like a Trevor to me.

Tabitha means gazelle and Eleanor means either shining one (when derived from Hellen) or pity, so that doesn't really fit Tabby based on that, but she's always just "seemed" like a Tabby. It fits/

Austin has always been slightly ostentatious, so he definatly fits his name. Austin David means venerated (respected) and beloved which is very true.

Sarah means princess and I suppose that's true. Elisabeth means my God is a vow.

Logan Jacob means hollow supplanter... which doesn't fit in the least, but my Logan has always seemed that a "Logan".

I think everyone does become their name... I've never really met anyone who doesn't seem like their name is perfect to them.
