Did you ask for anything for Christmas?

I would be happy not to get anything for Christmas with the twins and our finances getting tighter due to me not going back to work however my husband loves to give gifts for Christmas so I asked for a white noise machine for the babies room and a new pair of pjs. Did anyone else ask for anything in particular for Christmas?

I felt like I had everything too, so I asked for a bottle of perfume.
It just seems different this year & I love every minute of it.

 

I asked for a twin stroller

 

I couldn't think of a single gift to ask for this year. Usually I have lists of things to ask family members for. I'm so happy and content with the girls I don't feel anything is missing.

 

I too asked for PJ's. We are in the same boat, since I have been off work for four months now and am not going back until Feburary things are kind of tight. I just wanted the older kids to have a great holiday and if there are a few dollars left than a pair of pj's would be nice!

My dh and I decided to buy each other something in January after all the Christmas stuff is over. He wants a saw, for what I don't know!, I guess just to feel like a real guy, and I want a new coffee maker. We never really buy each other stuff, so we thought this year we'd try.

 

I didn’t ask for anything this year, but when a box arrived with my name on it from a hunting outfitters store I thought, “Oh, no not again.†My DH got me a hunting riffle for my birthday one year so I was a little nervous. I still haven’t used the thing, but maybe someday. Needless to say I was not that excited. I even called him and asked if it was my XMAS gift. He said he hadn’t ordered me anything from there, and then it hit me. I bought him something from that store. LOL. That’s what happens when there is a such a lack of sleep.

I just want someone to vacum the mini van and to let me have a couple of hours that I can just do nothing with!

 

Last year when the twins were a month old, I honestly couldn't think of anything I wanted for myself. Anything I would normally want (music, books, cooking equipment) I knew I would not have time to enjoy for a while. So I basically just asked for time: DH's sister gave me a homemade gift certificate for 3 evenings of babysitting. My mom gave me a gift card to buy myself some clothes for that transitional state when I wasn't in maternity anymore, but couldn't fit in my old clothes yet. DH and I didn't get each other anything -- it just seemed pointless, since we were basically still in survival mode.

It's much more fun this year.

 

I actually made a little list of things I needed. I feel like since the babies were born, I don't buy anything for myself. Soem things on it were pj bottoms, sweatshirt, bubble bath,even socks, things I won't buy for myself. I gave my list to my husband and my parents. I'm hoping at least for some new socks. Mine all have holes in them!!!
