Well I'm supposed to be on bedrest but I wanted to make sure I mailed out an Easter card to my nephew so I went outside to the mailbox and slipped and fell down my deck stairs. It was only a step or 2 and I didn't land hard because I was holding on to the rail. I didn't feel hurt or anything. I tried to get the babies on doppler a few hours later and I'm not sure if I got both heartbeats. I find it hard to believe that a little slip and fall would hurt anything but I can't help worrying. I'm going to try the doppler again a little later but should I call my OB? :(

Why are you on bedrest? That might make a difference. You're probably fine but if you are the least bit concerned, I would call and at least discuss it with them.

Yes call your ob and keep us updated. If you cant get ahold of your ob you can always make a trip to L&D

Yes, I would call your OB immediately. He'll probably want to just check on the babies to make sure they're okay. But it's always better to be safe than sorry.

I'm on bedrest for a shortened cervix and had a cerclage 2 weeks ago. Now I'm being watched for TTTS

I would call - if only so I could hear what I needed to hear and stop worrying : )

You'll never regret calling, even if it turns out to be perfectly fine. I'd make a quick call and just give the doc a heads up and see what he thinks.

I would call! It's so much better to be overly cautious, then not be cautious enough. Most offices have a triage nurse that are supposed to sit and answer your questions, no matter how silly. This is not a silly question. Call them, they may even be able to see you today.

UPDATE: Thanks for the advice everyone. I did call and they had me come in to listen to the heartbeats. They were able to find both of them and said unless I start bleeding and cramping everything should be ok.

I'm glad you called and got checked out. Good to hear everything is ok. You might be sore from bracing yourself during the fall. Try to take it easy.

Glad everything is okay. Those babies are usually pretty well protected in that amniotic fluid but it never hurts to get checked. I fell hard during my last pregnancy. Slipped on a beaded necklace on our kitchen floor and was sore afterwards. Try to take it easy. ;)

glad everything turned out okay... My docs were never able to distinguish their hbs on dopplar... they told me that unless their hbs were more than 10 beats off in rate that you couldn't conclusively say that you heard both... and mine were never that far off from each other... I've also fallen when I was pg...scary but it doesn't usually hurt anything. Now don't be taking any more chances! Stay in bed!
