I KEEP HEARING ABOUT ALL THESE RECALLS BUT WAS NOT TOO CONCERNED UNTIL MY SISTER-IN-LAW FREAKED OUT LAST NIGHT WHEN MY NIECE WALKS OUT OF MY PLAYROOM WITH MY BOYS ELMO DRILL. SHE COULDN'T BELIEVE I STILL HAD THE TOY B/C SHE REMEMBERED THAT AS BEING "ONE" OF THE TOYS. I HAVE 11 OF THE RECALLED ELMO TOYS, BUT I CHECKED ALL THE SERIAL NUMBERS AND THEY ALL END IN 6LF AND THE RECALLS ARE ONLY SUPPOSED TO BE 109-187 7LF. I GOT THESE NUMBERS FROM THE FISHER-PRICE RECALL WEB SITE. IS THIS CORRECT? OR SHOULD I STILL BE CONCERNED? HAS ANYONE SENT TOYS BACK? I AM PLANNING ON CALLING THE FISHER-PRICE TOMORROW AND ASKING WHAT THEY THINK. JUST WANDERING WHAT OTHERS HAVE DONE

I returned some the Thomas ones because they are so expensive. I had a few of the fisher-price toys (don't know if they are the correct serial #s) but we have SO many toys and they were 2 of the annoying ones so I just got rid of them.

Parents, Please send the toys back...that is the only way to teach these manufactures a lesson. They do not care that we discard their stuff to the trash...which then it goes to the landfield.... :love0028: so let's band together and hit them where it hurts...THE BOTTOM line! We or our families worked hard for the money to buy the toys....gather them up....and send them back....get what is owed to each of you!

I check the recalls all the time, and so far the only ones we have with a recall are Thomas trains. We sent those back right away. We just received email notification that our replacements are on their way. They also reimbursed us for S&H and gave us another train while we waited for their processing of the recall.

Luckily, this is all we had. I also have the Elmo Potato Head that has been recalled, but we bought it prior to the production dates in question so we don't need to return it.

I would remove anything that has been recalled and not have my kids play with them. Lead posioning is not something you want to gamble with, IMO. ;)

We sent a bunch of trains back. All of our Elmo and Dora stuff was produced before the items in question were made. I'm still waiting for our Thomas replacements.

I sent back our Thomas stuff and I have to say I am impressed. Our replacement trains arrived 2 days ago. 2 weeks ago I received a "train" and a check to cover the shipping costs for when we sent back our trains and accessories. They have been pretty on top of it IMO. :)
