I didn't but, honestly, it really didn't matter. There are plenty of women on The First Year forum that did easily lose the weight though. Quite a few even went below their pre-pregnancy weight without any work. There is a good chance you are going to look a little different now that you are a mom (for some reason that's a dirty little pregnancy secret) but that doesn't mean you'll be fat and flabby, just different. :) We all change throughout our lives and motherhood is one of those changes.

I'm actually about 15 lbs lighter than I was before I got pregnant. I did weight watchers to get the last of the pregnancy weight off and another 15 lbs has some how come off in the last year and a half with out my trying. I always chalk it up to having to keep up with the 2 of them, but maybe the pregnancy adjusted my metabolism, who knows. I'm lazy and quit working out once I dropped the pregnancy weight, so I'm sure my belly could be a little tighter, but its really not too bad. I do have a little twin skin, but I could wear a bikini, especially if it was a little high waisted and feel comfortable. It has taken this last year though for my stomach to go back to normal. It was pretty flabby for the first year or so.

Some other brave mammas on TS have posted pictures of their hot bodies, so it is possible to get your tummy back!

Don't be scared. :hug99: For me, I don't like it, but without it I wouldn't have these two beautiful girls. It is worth the flab (and as pp mentioned, not everyone gets it!!).

If you end up delivering early, and are young and have very good genes you have a chance of getting your body back. I lost the weight easily, 5 lbs less than pre-preg, but have the twin skin thing. NOt happy about it, but might see a doctor and see if there is anything I can do.

I wouldn't say that i have my pre-pregnancy body back, but it is not nearly as bad as I had feared. I am 4 months PP today, and just last week I was able to get into my pre-preggo jeans. As the PP said, it really doesn't matter because you have 2 babies to show for it! I really think it depends on your shape, size and genes before you get pregnant as to whether or not, or how fast you bounce back.

Look at it in a positive way. If you still have a loose belly, just think - if it weren't for that belly, you wouldn't have the babies. I never fully lost a little bit of pooch after my son was born, but every time I got down about it I reminded myself that I have it because of my son. And I wouldn't trade my imperfect body for anything if it meant I didn't have my son.

I've been back to my pre preggo weight. It took about 6 weeks though. All depends on your genes. Everyone is differant. I'm going back to modeling next month. Swimsuit and lingerie  . I didn't think i would be able to after twins, but watch out...here i come!!

I lost the pregnancy weight immediately. Too bad I was overweight to begin with.lol. Just when I was starting to work on that I get pregnant again. I'm so used to this body though I wouldn't know what to do without all this extra padding.

Honestly, I'm in the best shape of my life! I'm fit & fast- just ran my fastest marathon last week in almost under 4 hours (4:02).
However, my belly is still wonky & not something I want to show off. Others don't notice, but I do.
    Great luck in your pregnancy!

My babies are only 3 weeks old and I'm thinking I still have some time for my belly to go back down at least some. The way I see it is that I went into PTL at 23 weeks and if I had delivered then, I would have a perfect belly probably . I am SO glad for my stretched out, stretch marked belly that is a sign of babies that grew to 34 weeks before coming!! I am looking forward to being able to exercise again and see what I can do with this belly though:)

I lost all the pregnancy weight in the first three months and then lost about 15 more pounds over the following three months. My belly went back to normal -- no twinskin -- and I look pretty much the same as I did before. I don't really have time to exercise, so I'm not in the best physical shape, but I have lots of arm muscles from carrying the girls! I really think breastfeeding (and pumping) is the reason that I lost all the weight.

Well, im just fat and flabby to begin with. Lol. I barely gained 20 lbs with the first pregnancy, lost all of it plue 5 lbs before i left the hospital...but i got really sick after this section. This time i gained 30 something pounds and lost all of it but 5 lbs before i left the hospital. The only thing i dont like is, even as big as i am ive never had a roll in my belly, now i have one where my sons set up so high. But i wouldnt trade it in for anything.....Not many people my size can say they got that from giving birth to four kids i can ;)

My body has never been the same since my first DD was born, pregnancy just does something to your body. I wouldn't change it for the world, I have 3 beautiful children. But I certainly came out of this okay! :)

After breastfeeding, I lost all my baby weight plus some (and I honestly didn't have it to spare!) So that part was easy- but my bbs are like little deflated water balloons now and I think I'll always have a pudding belly. It's not hanging or anything, so I can't be too upset, but I'll never have my cute belly button back!

My body is almost back to "normal." Too bad, I liked having boobs LOL!
My belly is a little loose, and the stretch marks are pretty bad, but I know after DD1 it took a few years actually to get 'flat' again. I may never be the same with clothes off, but with clothes on you can't tell I've had 3 kids!

I'm actually 2 sizes smaller than I was when I got pregnant right now. (Twins are two months today.) But my stomach looks nothing like it used to.

I hope that it will eventually tighten back up, but I'm not too concerned over it. I'll do what I can do- exercise and eating right- but if it never goes back to 'normal' than so be it.

I just laugh about it! :D

I am four weeks post partum and still have about 10lbs to lose and I am getting a little worried about my loose skin on my tummy...it isnt real bad but it's not good-I posted yesterday about loose skin (on FY) and the outlook isnt good. I didnt have one person tell me they had loose skin that firmed back up-NOT ONE PERSON! Only time will tell...

No. I didn't come out of it okay. I weigh the same if not less, 18 weeks later, but i think I have someone else's body!!! EEEK! I feel hideous when I look in the mirror so I don't! I gained 90 lbs w/ my guys tho (by 35 weeks) so.. I'm probably worse off but there is reason to be scared for sure :) It's all worth it tho! And I never thought I'd say that. I went from a very athletic, slim size 6 to a very large 16 XXL when pg w/ my 2 boys. I hate looking at the flappy skin!!
