Diapers so heavy in AM they're almost falling off

We've been using the Huggies Overnights at night for over a year now and they've worked great. But the boys seem to be drinking a lot more throughout the day, and by the morning, their overnight diapers are SO heavy that they are sagging wayyyy down on their belly, or one of the straps has become unstuck and the diaper has actually fallen off and down their leg in their PJs (this happened this morning-- really fun times). We bumped them up to size 5 a few months ago, which helped a little but not a great deal.

I saw the other thread on overnight diapers soaking through, but that really isn't the problem here. Do I need to reinforce the straps or use something else? I really can't see cutting back the liquid intake as they really seem to want to drink, and they are on an antihistamine that makes them thirsty I'm sure.

Not sure if you are already doing this, but put the overnights on right before, literally right before, putting them in bed. That might help somewhat. Other than that, maybe those diaper doublers? Mine also have huge diapers in the mornings that I'm surprised they aren't falling off too.

My kids' diapers are also very heavy in the AM. I always put a oneies on under their PJ's, even before this was happening. But I've noticed the oneies helps keep the diaper in place.

I try to cut out drinks atleast 1 hour before bedtime and put the diaper on right before bed. You could also try diaper doublers.

Ditto that! After the girls have their dinner time milk, they get 1/2 sippie of water after that and then NOTHING at least an hour before bed. They are usually playing, etc, so it's not a big deal to them. I put their diaper on right before they go up to their cribs. We too suffer from HEAVY diapers in the morning...however, they do sleep with onesies on (b/c they know how to take their dipes off) and that has caused them to not fall off.

I don't limit drinks for the girls. I vote for putting the diaper on right before bed, and using the onesie also.

I just bumped my girls up to size 5s...but only for nighttime. I think that the doublers would soak up more, but not avoid the diaper from sagging.

Well here's the deal. They eat dinner around 5:30pm, get a bath around 6:15pm, eat a snack with water and then are in bed by 7pm. So that window of time is fairly narrow. They are thirsty and want that water with their snack at bedtime, and honestly, they don't drink all that much. They're already getting their diapers on pretty close to bedtime already, right around 6:30/6:40, and they are not wet when I put them in their cribs at 7pm. They just seem to pee a lot at night.

Mine get a bath around 7:30, diapers are right after and bed too! They might have a sip or two of milk before brushing their teeth, but not much.
Their diapers are super heavy anyways! [IMG] Sorry, I am not much help, but wanted you to know you aren't alone in this!
