Diapers leaking only at night? Any ideas?

For the last week every other day Max and Lily wake up with a wet spot on their PJ's. They are now sleeping on their stomach and we are starting to have diaper leaks in the front. Luckily it is only on their PJ's and sometimes their sleep sacks, but not the sheets. I do have the waterproof matress pads on the cribs for a quick sheet change. However it is a hassle to change them right away. Usually we change clothes for the day after their second bottle because they take a mini nap between first and second bottles.

I am just wondering how to avoid this issue. They are still within the weight range of size 2 diapers and we have been using Pampers baby dry for months with no problems since we switched from Pampers swaddlers when they were newborns to about 4 months old. We tried some generics and had constant leaks during the day, so I was surprised when this started happening. I think it is because they love tummy sleeping now.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

Try the next size up at night and see if that helps.

I used huggies overnites with the boys and that worked great for us.

This started happening to us too when they slept on their tummies. I used the next size up in Pampers Cruisers (used Baby Dry during the day) and it seemed to help. We're now on Luvs and have been since they were 10 months. Good luck!

I agree with the next size up being a big help. We also used diaper doublers for my son, which helped him out tremendously.

If you have a BJ they sell Pampers ultra-absorbent and I haven't had a problem with them.

I totally disregard the weights on the box as I think they are a very loose guide to the right size. Size up will likely help.

Mine have been in size 5s for a while and are no where near the weight range.

I took this progression... I went a size up, then I added a diaper doubler, then I went to the Huggies Overnites. They are still in the Overnites and we still occasionally have a wet outfit in the morning.

Huggies Overnights, Pampers Baby Dry, trying the next size up or a thicker diaper than you normally use should do the trick. GL!

I asked this same question when my kiddos flopped to tummy sleepers, too. :) Going one size up at night did the trick for us. I also agree with a pp - we never stay in a diaper size up to the weight limit on the box - we always move the next size when we are about the middle of the weight range of the current size, and the low end of the weight range of the the next size up if that makes sense. And when we are on the low end of the weight range the boys can sleep in their current size. But as they get to the middle of the weight range we always have to go one up at night to prevent nighttime leaks.

Yep, we went to the size 3's yesterday and no leaks at all. DH ran up to BRUS to exchange the size 2's we still had for size 3's. Thankfully I still had the reciepts. Thanks for all the responses.
