Diaper Size Question

For Christmas, my sister got us a very generous gift certificate to diapers.com. It was much needed and greatly appreciated. I want to stock up on diapers, but am unsure what size to get. They are in size 2's now (DD could really still fit in a size 1, but it's easier to just have one kind open) and have been for 2-3 weeks. But they outgrew the size one's so fast, I'm afraid to stock up for fear that they will outgrow them. So my questions:

When did your babies move to size 2's?

How long did they stay in size 2's?

What's your favorite brand?

Its so hard to stock up on diapers since you never can predict how long they will fit (even if they are still in the size range listed on the box). Our favorite brand is pampers.. love the swaddlers and now I like the cruisers. Diapers.com has size 2-3 which can sometimes be hard to find in the store. Maybe you can get a box of 2's and some 2-3's... or maybe you can use your gc over multiple orders. Every time I've ordered from them I've gotten the package within a week. GL and what a nice sister you have!!!

 

We moved to size 3's quite a long time ago now. Over a month ago I think. I predict we will be in them for a long time still. People have always told me they wear size 3's the longest.

We shall see!

I love Kirkland diapers and only use other brands when we get them as gifts.

 

We've always used Pampers...swaddlers then cruisers.

We seemed to be in size 2's forever!! We switched at about 8 months. Keep in mind I have tiny little peanuts!

 

Size 3 came quickly for us, but Patrick was big too. I liked Kirkland from diapers.com. Worked great and cheaper.

 

We moved through newborns, 1s and 2s pretty quickly. We've been in 3 for the longest time - probably 4-5 months. I can't remember exactly when we switched, but know I've been buying 3s for a long time!

 

Mine were in size 4's long before turning a year old, and they weighed about 18 pounds at a year. They move up long before the weight limit is reached. And at I'd say approximately 24-25 pounds each, they are still in size 4's. We think maybe the size 4's will make it until potty training.

We use Kirkland or Huggies, both can be purchased at Costco and cost $0.19/diaper for size 4's. They both work equally as well for us.

 

My DS is in size 1 and DD in size two. My mom bought us a years worth of diapers at amazon.com and we could only choose one size. I chose size 3 b/c DD is so big and DS is so small but I figure he will be in size 2 and 3 soon enough. I am just going to stock up on them as they come once a month if I have too many.

 

I can't remember when they moved from size to size but Kellen's always been a bit bigger and has moved thru the sizes a little more quickly. They were not in size 2's long - 2 jumbo boxes worth were plenty for us. We then did 2 boxes of the size 2-3, and then went into 3's, which I think they will be in for quite awhile. We've already gone thru 4 jumbo boxes (they're also pooping like champs lately, which could have a little something to do with it

we have only used Pampers and Huggies. I know there are less expensive brands - I'm just too chicken to try them.

 

I think I stayed in size 3 the longest. I like Huggies the best but my kids tend to be thin hipped so they fit them the best.

 

Savannah is finishing up her size 2's now and she is 8 months old. She is about 17 pounds now... 2-3's work great for her and 3's at night... Beau went to size 3 about 2 months ago and he is about 21 pounds.. good luck and how nice, very thoughtful gift!

 

Well, my dd is still wearing size 2 my ds on the other hand pretty much bypassed the 2's and right into the 3's. If I were you, I would probably go for the Swaddlers size 2-3. Your dd can wear them (might be a tiny big cuz they start at size 14 lbs I think) and wear them for awhile and your ds can wear them now and for awhile also. I've tried looking for that size in the store but they are hard to find. Swaddlers are nice and I love Pampers Cruisers. Your sister gave you a nice gift. Have fun shopping :lol: .
