Okay 1st... how long were your babes in premie diapers. We live in a rural area and I just completely wiped out Wal Mart here yesterday of all their Pampers swaddlers Premies! (they only had eight packs!) We dont like the Huggies plus they are more spendy. My girls came home 9 days ago at 4lbs 11oz and 4lbs 12oz. We have went through 8 20count packs already!1 (I WAY underestimated this diaper thing) so the question is how much longer do you think they will be in premie AND what is the name of that website where you can order diapers by the case.. AND do you think I should order another case of premies (remember I have 8 new packs) or wait and see if they fit in the newborns soon????? Help please!! I need to get a case coming if they arent going to fit in newborns... there is no where to buy them here!!! Thanks.. sorry this got longer than I had planned!

Hi there! I'm not sure how to answer your question about how many diapers you will go through, since mine weren't in preemies (although Connor could have been, but we just folded down size newborn's and made it work), but mine were in size Newborns for about a month or so (they were born at 5-5 and 6-8).

You can order Pampers' preemies by the case at 1800-543-4932.

We tended to go up a size before they reached the weights on the Pampers packages - because it seemed like better protection - I am pretty sure the guys came home on Newborn and had outgrown the Preemie size in the NICU - they were somewhere between 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 lbs at that time

Mine were 4lb 10oz and 4lb 12 oz when they came home, and they wore pampers swaddlers newborns just fine..have you tried them? They never even wore preemie diapers in the NICU, just newborn...give em a try!

Mine were a bit bigger than yours 5lb2oz abd 5lb11oz. They never wore preemie diapers and were only in NB for the first couple weeks then went to size 1. I just folded down the front because I couldn't justify the HUGE price difference. But maybe thats just me.

I bought a couple packs of preemie diapers and there isn't much difference in size. We just used the newborn size. They looked silly since the tabs overlapped to get them tight enough, but newborns were less expensive and it's easier to find larger packs.

Thanks for the advice. I guess I hadnt checked out the $$ diff. The premies were 5.26 for 20, which I guess I didnt think was too bad. I got a ton of NB for gifts already maybe we will just bump up to those. I also thought I better clarify, my girls were born at 5lb 6oz and 5lb 4oz but had lost quite a bit by the fifth day when we brought them home... we are hoping they are back up to 5lbs by today! Thanks again!

Only one of my boys wore preemies...and only til we ran out of what the hospital sent home- they're too expensive and we could overlap the tabs (that didn't last long...as you can see in my ticker, they were pretty good size) That said, FIL orders our diapers through 1800diapers.com when you order $45 worth there is no shipping and there is no sales tax...major bonus- I rarely have to shop for them (they take alot of space in the cart & when I shop for family of 6- I need that space) and they just show up on my doorstep. Once you have established an account you can use manufacturer's coupons and prices are comparable to regular stores.

If you're interested in trying 1800diapers enter referral code GAWI4132 for $2.00 off your first order
