Diaper rash

The kids have all had weird diaper rashes the last few days. Their BMs have been really loose and seedy. Their skin is all broken and they are in complete pain when I wipe them. DS and Gretchyn both have had diaper rashes similar to how they are now, just not as bad. But that was when they were taking Omnicef. The ped told me to put anti-fungal cream on twice a day back then. So, that's what I've been doing now and it doesn't seem to be getting any better.
I think they are teething. Could that be related? (I should know this. I have an older child, but DS never had ANY symptoms of teething. I didn't even know he was until his first tooth popped through.)
I don't know what to do for the rashes or to make their BMs normal again.
We have started solids, but I haven't given any to them for a week and a half or so because they've been extra gassy. Since I haven't given it to them they aren't as gassy, so I'm holding off for a while longer.
Any suggestions on what to do for the diaper rashes and *helping* with their BMs?
    TIA

Budreaux's Butt paste works wonders!!!!! I also like Arbonne diaper cream- those are the only two I use. Use one every diaper change and let them have air dry time if possible (no diaper in a pack-in-play).
    Hope it heals soon!!

Jake has a really wicked rash right now, his first ever diaper rash, and it is a really bad one! :( I took him to the ped and they gave my some Nystatin for yeast, which I think is the same thing as Monistat, you might try that. I also like this powder called Caldesene Powder, it comes in a pink bottle, and you can buy it at Walgreens. It has zinc in it and does a great job of drying up a rash. I am using both right now, and it's starting to slowly get better. As far as the diarrhea, you could try Pedialyte for a day and see if it clears up. Or you could give them rice cereal or bananas, and it might firm them up a little. My babies have always gotten looser poops when they were teething.

Ditto. A&D works well also. If it isn't getting better by over the counter meds, you may need to ask for a prescription to Nystatin cream. It clears things up fast and in a hurry.

The anti-fungal cream is pretty much the same thing as Nystatin. It's not doing anything. <_<
For Pedialyte, how do I give that to the girls? We've never had to use it with DS. I feel so clueless about everything!!

Just give them the Pedialyte in place of their bottle. I would only do this though if they had watery diarrhea. If it's just looser than normal, I would keep giving them their formula.

We also have nystatin cream for fungal rash infections.. so if that's not working, maybe try the other
concotions other members have suggested? and as for helping firm up their stool.. my pedi told me to give
the girls rice cereal.. that seemed to help firm it up.. but it did take a while...hope this helps!

Mix milk of magnesia into a thick diaper cream of your choosing (tub desitin was reccomended). Use this at every diaper rash. The MoM neutralizes the acidity of the runny poop and the desitin is a moisture barrier. If something doesn't work within a couple of days, go to the doctor if their skin is breaking. I wish I had gone earlier with my boys when they had a wicked rash. I had to get a special cream compounded that was aquaphor with a binding agent (like the MoM) called questrian or something. I wish I had followed my friend's old-timey advice (the MoM/desitin) given to her by her pediatrician (who has been practicing medicine since the stone ages).
