Which diaper pail do you use?? Do you like it or would it be the
same to just wrap the diaper up in a plastic bag and chunk it in the trash??

I wrap my stinky ones in plastic bags and chuck them in the trash, so I'm not much help. I had a diaper genie with my oldest and I hated it!

Ditto...we take out the trash around here at least twice a day!!

I use a Diaper Dekor plus and I really like it. The nursery NEVER smells, which shocks the **** out of me let me tell you! The "plus" is just bigger than the original Diaper Dekor, which with twins I figured could only be a bonus. I also like that it operates with a foot pedal.

I actually really love my Diaper Genie. It's easy to use and I've never had a problem with it. We got the kind with the cutter, so I think that's probably even more easy. We only use it for the poopy diapers, otherwise it would get full way too fast. I didn't realize what a difference it made in the smell until I ran out of the liners for a couple days....whoa!! It stunk SO bad without it.

A friend of mine got the Diaper Champ & she really loves it. I don't know much about it, except I think you can use regular bags so you don't have to buy the liners.

We are happy with our Diaper Champ. Of course since they started solids it needs to be emptied more regularly. [IMG]
But overall I like it much better than the Diaper Genie. You can use whatever bag you want in it.

We have used the Diaper Dekor+ for the past 2.5 years. We actually have it in our family room (that is where we are the most). I love it because it keeps the smell in and it doesn't look like a diaper pail. Nobody ever notices it when they are over. We take it out every night.

I really like our Diaper Champ. It is great that you can use regular trash liners and not have to spend extra money on special refills. The only thing I have noticed sometimes is if there is a really stinky diaper on top or a lot of stinky diapers in the pail then when you flip the lid to add another diaper you may get a whiff of it/them. I think this is probably true with any of them though! [IMG]

I agree with the pp about the *whiff* when you flip the handle on the diaper champ. I've noticed the same thing. I still like mine alot, though. I keep a can of Lysol next to it and spray the inside every time I change the bag and haven't had any major problems with odor. With the number of diapers I change in a day my trash would fill up SO fast if I just chucked them in there.

Another user of the Diaper Dekor Plus here - Love it, both for the fact that it holds more diapers than any of the others and for the fact that it holds in odors - and we don't have to change it until it's full [IMG] Definately worth it IMO [IMG]

I just throw mine in the trash. The Dollar Tree has these bags they come 100 to a box and they smell like Baby Powder, so I just wrap them in that and throw them in the trash.
