DS just recently switched up to size 4's. I thought this might solve the issue of him peeing through his diaper (and subsequent pj's) at night. The last time he was doing this, I switched him from 2's to 3's and it solved the issue. Unfortunately, he is still peeing through. I nurse him twice through the night (if I'm lucky), so I know that contributes to it. I just know if I start changing his diaper in the middle of the night, he will wake up completely and then have to be nursed for 20 minutes or so. If not, I can usually nurse him in about 5 minutes and then put him back to bed right away.

Are there night time diapers they sell for babies? Are their overnight inserts? We live in Alaska, so unfortunately our options are limited in product, however we just got a BRU about a month and a half ago and Target is coming in a month. (WHOO, HOO!!!).

Any suggestions of good diapers that would keep him from leaking? I've tried Pampers (regulars) and Kirkland (Costco) size 4's so far without any luck.

I used Huggies for my DS and they seemed to work well. I've heard from several moms that moms of girls prefer Pampers and moms of boys prefer Huggies. I know that we had Pampers in the hospital for DS and I was not a big fan. Good luck!

I use Pampers Baby Dry on my girls at night in one size bigger than what they wear during the day.
I have also heard that Pampers work best for girls and Huggies best for boys, not sure how true it is since I dont have any boys.

I do have to change my babies during the night - they were leaking through by 2:00 a.m. until I switched to Luvs. I was using Huggies (which I do like) but they were leaking through all of the time. So, I tried Luvs and they haven't really leaked through since. But if I let them go ALL night in the same diaper, they would definitely leak.

I never changed my DS in the middle of the night once he got past the newborn age - I'd also just BF him and pop him back in his crib - he didn't leak like these guys do.

I hope you get it figured out!

And, GREAT news on the Target!!!

Everything leaked for me. The only thing that works is the Pampers ultra absorbency but you can only find them at BJs. Even with those I got two leaks in a month, although they were getting a bit small for DS.

They do make Huggies Overnights in a size 4. That's what we switched to at night when they were peeing through everything and haven't had a leak since!

They do make a product called Diaper Doubles and they look like a maxi pad that you slide into the diaper to make it extra absorbant at night. We used those for a bit until they could fit into the Huggies Overnites size 5. We couldnt get the size 4's. But I swear by the Huggies Overnites if you can get them.

Same! I LOVE huggies overnights. If your BRU doesn't carry them, ask them to order some for you. They are totally worth the effort.

I use Pamper Baby Dry during the day but it wasn't enough to get my girls thru the night. About two months ago I started using Huggies Overnight and love them! Since I don't have too many stores very close I order mine from Diapers.com.

We used those for DS when he was 2 and 3. Loved them. I am sure we will get them for these guys too later.

Thank you everyone! I will definitely check out BRU and since our Target opens up a week from tomorrow (I AM SOOOO EXCITED!), I can stop there next weekend to look for the overnights.

I second (third, forth) the huggies overnights. Our DS is about 19 lbs and we just moved him to size 4s during the day and have him in size 5 overnights at night. Seems to FINALLY do the trick. He drinks a lot now (almost 40 oz/day) so he needs a big diaper to get him through the night! And sometimes even the size 5 overnights don't do the trick!

I would also recommend the Huggies Overnights, we have trouble finding them in our area. So we also use Diaper Doublers and they usually help. About every two weeks he might pee through.

We use Huggies Overnights for night time too. They work well for us.
