Ok, we're having some massive diaper blowouts lately. Now that the boys are sleeping a good 60-90 mins later than they used to, it's almost daily for Aiden & a good few times per week for Conner. Today they woke just SOAKED. They're in a size 4 diaper during the day with no problems. So, at night, Conner is in a size 5 (Pampers) & Aiden is in a size 5 overnight (Huggies). Typically they leak out of ALL Huggies, but we thought we'd try the overnights out of desperation when Aiden began blowing out of the size 5 Pampers. What a waste of money that was...he's blown out of almost every one of those darn things! Ugh....

So, do we go up to a size 6? I just don't know what to do. Size 6s are pretty gosh darn big. Won't they leak from being so big? I know they don't make diaper doublers any more, so is there a new alternative out there?

    HELP!

    Andrea,
There is an alternative to diaper doublers, they are called diaper boosters now. DH and I hunted high and low online for these things and found them at this website:
    http://www.healthpursuit.com/diaper_doublers.html

It might also help to go up a size but I would be worrying about leaking too. Perhaps you could also try a maxi pad in the diaper until you can get the diaper boosters?

    Good luck!
PS: Why did they stop making diaper doublers, I don't get it! But we've used these replacements and they've worked really well for our DS!

Sorry, didn't see that there was another thread like this. I was just so stressed that I came on & posted quick.

Thanks for all the replies...I might try to run out & buy reusable traning pants to put on over them! I'd rather do that than a pull up....that'd get pricey!!!

I might also look into the 'replacement' diaper doublers if the training pants don't work!!!

    Thanks, as usual, ladies!

I hope you find something soon that works. That has got to be a PITA to wake up to every morning!

I feel for you! I posted the other thread about the reusable training pants over nighttime diapers -- it's working pretty well for us. Before this, Karina was waking up soaked every morning, and I'd have to strip the sheets, everything. What a pain.

But yeah, size 6 might be big for your guys. We *just* moved into a 6 for Karina during the day, and she is a BIG girl -- taller than 36 inches, and upwards of 30 pounds -- and she's only now fitting into them. They're too big on Kevan (34.5 inches and about 28 pounds, with slim hips), although they do work at night in a pinch.

I'm going to look for the Huggies Overnights in a size 6 -- I may order them online if I can find them.
