my baby shower is coming up, and i've registered for almost everything, but i can't seem to find a good diaper bag. i would like a backpack type, but will take the over the shouler if it's big enough. any suggestions? it would be ideal if it came from babies r us, but if someone got one somewhere else, that's fine.
    thanks! :)

I use the Skip Hop Duo Double...its great because it fits on a double stroller. It also goes from a tote to a messenger bag to a stroller bag! I love it!! FWIW

I have a Vera Bradley diaper bag (it was given to me, trust me I would not fork out that kind of $ for a diaper bag!) To be quite honest, I hate it. It is an over the shoulder kind and falls off of my should all of the time. I would really prefer a back pack as a diaper bag. But I am not so sure that a diaper bag would be big enough to take everything that I take with me.

Beofre I had this, I had a few others including a smaller skip hop bag. I always needed to carry other bags along with my diaper bag

I have this one from One Step Ahead in black.

It worked great for long airplane travel at 3 months and at 5 months. Lots of compartments, a thing for your phone on one of the straps, a diaper changing pad and space for diapers just unzips from the back so you don't have to open the pack and root around inside to find all the diaper changing stuff. It is expensive but comfortable and really useful. It is cool enough looking for my DH to wear too...

I love my diaper back pack from Land's End. It was only $40, it's big enough for everything, and comes in lots of colors!

I have the Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag. It is stylish and has a backpack and arm strap. I have been very happy with it. You'll have to purchase it at a boutique type store or online. Good luck with your decision.

After a lot of research, i ended up with a Dadgear backpack style bag. I got mine in basic black figuring I'll go for fashion some time later. http://www.dadgear.com/gear_main.cfm?ID=1# It is well organized and lightweight. I tried a shoulder bag for two weeks when the twins were first born. Every time I bent down to pick up a twin in a car seat, the shoulder bag would slip down and not quite bonk the baby. I really like the feeling of having both hands free.

    Hope this helps. Sotto

I have an Eddie Bauer over the shoulder. It is FREAKING huge inside...love it. Holds everything for the babies AND stuff for Micah as well. I got it at Target- sorry can't tell you the model name, just that it's Eddie Bauer and cost $34.99. Had the backpack one from EB but everything went to the bottom and I had to dig and pull out everything to get to what I wanted (the opening for this one is awesome wide and I can usually find what I want w/o too much rummaging.)
