    Hi,

The twins are my first kids, and I have no clue about diaper bags (there are a LOT of things that I have no clue about regarding babies, but today I am thinking about Diaper bags :)). Next week is my birthday and my husband keeps asking what I want. I was thinking to get a nice diaper bag - I like this one OiOi® Studded Diaper Tote and I also like this one timi & leslie® Marie Antoinette II Diaper Bag

I realize there's a special diaper bag for twins out there - this one Skip Hop Duo Double Deluxe Edition but it's not as nice.

My question is, is it worth getting a nice diaper bag or I might as well get something functional and cheaper and keep carrying a regular purse with me also? I realize the bags I like are not cheap... but eh, it's my birthday and I like nice purses :), and I am pregnant with twins :) so I might as well get a nice gift :).

As always, thanks for your input and Happy 4th of July weekend!

for my first pregnancy (son) my mom got me a kate spade diaperbag. it was nice, but between puking and poops and all that goodness that comes with a baby i found that i became fearful of using it. I got a cheaper diaper bag for using with my daughter and we love it, but again this is not at all big enough for twins. Carrying a purse AND a diaperbag is really annoying. i stopped carrying both and learned to just pare down to my wallet, keys, phone, chapstick, and a brush. All of which fits easily into the zippered sections of my diaperbags.

For the twins I plan on carrying a regular sized diaperbag (the kate spade since I already have it) and then having my smaller diaper bag in the car that I can use to "restock" the bigger bag. Then its just a matter of running out to the car.

We are planning to get a backpack style diaper bag. I've read that it is much more convenient to be able to have both arms free when you have two babies, which makes a lot of sense. I love nice bags, but I'm going to go practical for this.

I have the Skip Hop duo double and love it! No other diaper bag I have ever tried even compares IMO. When it gets dirty, I throw it in the wash and it comes out as good as new. It also fits on my SBS stroller which is a plus. Lastly, it has room for all the stuff I need, especially when my girls were younger. :good:

I had a huge diaperbag with my twins and never regretted it. Remember you have to bring twice as much. I always wanted to be super prepared and was never sorry. It made life easier. I always had a change of clothes for each, 2 diapers each(4), blanket each, 2 burpcloths, wipes, nursing cover, binkies. Mine had a nice side pocket for wallet, phone, chapstick for me. Plus with the big handle I could wear it across my body so I had 2 hands free or it would fit over the stroller handle. It wasn't pretty but very practical. I don't remember what it was called but got it at babies r us.
