I'm still shopping around for a diaper bag. I originally wanted a Coach diaper bag just because I'd love carrying it but at $400 it's not very practical and it didn't get very good reviews. Now I'm looking at the Fleurville Mothership. I was hoping to get some of your reccommendations...what did you buy for your twins-to-be? [IMG]

I got a Land's End Backpack diaper bag. I love it. It's nice to have my hands free.

We found that the only thing that worked was a backpack diaper bag. First, because DH would actually carry it. [IMG] Second, because if I/DH were/was trying to deal with 2 infant carriers by alone, the backpack was better because we didn't have to worry about it slipping off the shoulder. My mom got us the Lands End diaper backpack. We still use it on car/plane trips to hold sippy cups, changes of clothes, etc. It's been used hard for 3+ years and still in great shape.

I've got two. Right now I'm using a Petunia Picklebottom that has a shoulder strap and backpack style straps - its a smaller bag but perfect for quick trips when you just need a few diapers, change of clothes, etc. I also have a Skip Hop Double Duo bag for when they are a little older and we are going out more, its very big, attaches to a double stroller and has pockets gallore!!

I have a Wendy Bellissimo diaper bag. I got a pretty good deal off ebay. I haven't used it yet obviously but I've heard good things!

I have the mothership and I love it. I had it for single babies, but I have to say it's huge- in fact that was my only complaint about the bag for one kid is that sometimes I didn't need that much bag. I'm planning to use it for the twins. We also have a back pack that my husband usually carries, but if I know I have to go somewhere where I'll need two hands I will sometimes take the backpack. The mothership is plenty big enough for two kids worth of stuff. But... if you want a bag with two bottle compartments, there is only one. It's the full height of the bag, though- and it's semi insulated- you could probably stack two bottles in it. The strap has some stuff on the underside that makes it cling to your shoulder, too. It fits over the single width handle of my Phil & Ted's stroller, but not over my double wide. But all in all, it's a great bag, functional and pretty and I highly recommend it.

I was given an LL bean diaper bag which was really nice, I am not a bag person so the plainer the better. I used it pretty much the entire time we were in diapers (I actually kinda felt I had to since the person who chose it for me passed away just after K&K were born). If I had had a choice I would have preferred a backpack of some sort. I am actually a little jealous of the new moms in my area because the hospital is currently giving away great black backpacks when new moms are discharged!

i honestly can't see spending any more than $30 bucks for 2 diaper bags. i have always been happy with the walmart diaper bags and i will continue to use those for as long as i need to. it doesn't matter what kind you get, it is how well it works for you and your budget. my budget isn't worth talking about that should be plenty of explenation for the walmart diaper bags--lol.
    lots of love!

I just bought this bag. I liked it because I can wear it like a messenger bag and it leaves my hands free, and I don't have to worry about a tote style bag falling off my shoulder.

Also my husband will carry it because it isn't girlish. And of course it matches my stroller (Graco duo glider in Metropolitan)
