Diaper Bag

Well, the time has finally come...the horrible, ugly diaper bag that I bought 2 days before I delivered in a fit of absolute panic (how could you forget to buy a diaper bag??) is finally dead, long may it rest in peace. That thing was hideous.

So now my dilemma is - what bag to get? I am leaning towards the Skip-Hop Duo Deluxe: http://www.skiphop.com/product/23000.html , but I would dearly like a diaper bag that didn't look like a diaper bag. I have been using a backpack when we go on longer day trips, but I spend half of my life rummaging in the depths of the main compartment. I live in an urban area & tend to walk everywhere with our double stroller, so the appeal of the skip-hop is that is straps onto a double stroller really well.

My girls are 18 months old, so they still need quite a bit of stuff, but not as much as newborns. Does anyone have a diaper bag that they just love?

I actually have 2 of the Skip hop due doubles and love them!!

 

I have a Skip Hop Double Duo and love it.

 

My boys are still "babies", but I love our Skip Hop Double. And the bottom doesn't become a bottomless pit like so many diaper bags!

We just use a backpack.

 

I love the Skip Hop Double. We've used it more in the second year than the first year because we go out more now.

 

Can I just suggest something to you? No offense to those who have the skip hop duo double deluxe bags, they do look fantastic, but honestly....it's a messenger bag. I bought a $20 messenger bag from walmart that has a long shoulder strap to go across my stroller handles, it has a huge main zippered pocket with smaller pockets inside it, it has many pockets/compartments on the front for "stuff", and two side pockets for bottles/sippy cups.

Now i don't have the skip hop bag, and like I said it looks great, but my backpack and messenger bag have done wonderfully for diaper bags, especially with twins and a toddler We also used the messenger bag when we went to disney (before we had the twins) and it worked great as an all day bag for my 6 yr old and 18 month old.

Just a suggestion
