Okay, this is stupid, but I am having a complete brain fart. I'm getting the bags all ready for the big day and other than diapers, wipes, ointment, extra clothes and bottles what goes in the diaper bag.

Thank you for helping the serious blonde moment I am having,
    Jenn

    That's about it. :good:

I always kept the bag the hospital gives out in the car with a few more diapers, wipes, and an outfit. You never know when you're going to have some nasty blowouts.

I used to keep small bags in my diaper bag (like from the grocery store), so I could wrap up the really nasty diapers.

Besides all the stuff for the babies - stuff for you.

Small travel sizes work well :good:
    • bottle of water
    • chapstick
    • hand cream
    • hand sanitizer
    • tylenol
    • kleenex
    • snack
    • small amount of cash

I agree with all the above recommendations. I also used my diaper bag as my purse so I don't have to carry both so everything you have in your purse too.

Only things I see missing from previous lists are burp rags, bibs, hats, blankets

I often kept a sling in mine, too. I have one that folds down relatively small. This was really great for Sabrina who would come unhinged when we walked in Walmart or Albertson's. I later figured out she has light sensitivity issues, and Target and Safeway kept their lights dimmer so didn't set her off so badly. But pushing a stroller with one baby, while trying to hold and calm another fussy one, was just too much w/out the sling.

Are you asking in general or for the hospital?

For the hospital I packed a bag for me and put in two outfits for each baby. That's it...anything else I needed was provided by the hospital.

For a diaper bag in general, I think everyone else said what I would have (I always keep a snack and a bottle of water for me in there...I've had many a trip to the clinic or ER and you always end up starving).

I was wondering the same.. for the hospital, I packed A TON with my first singleton and noticed I didn't need any of it, as the hospital provided everything I needed. So this time around, I just put two outfits (ok, actually it's four because I put two preemie outfits and two newborn sized outfits) and caps and a receiving blanket for each. That's it! Going a lot lighter this time around now that I know what I am in for.
