Anyone recommend a great diaper bag for twins? there are so many out there. I"m on bedrest and thought I'd do some online shopping.

I recommend a backpack, so that when you are carrying them both, you aren't whapping a baby in the head with the bag that is slipping off of your shoulder! GREAT JOB on the bedrest! :clapping: WAY TO GO MOMMA! :clapping:

I totally agree with the backpack recommendation! But I also like that I can attach mine to the stroller and not have to carry it around with me. Here's mine--I TOTALLY LOVE IT! http://www.bumblebags.com/products_jessica_pinkpaisley.shtml Completely worth the $$ in my opinion! (and totally cute too!) ;)

Congrats on making it 31 weeks! Keep it up! :)

It's a Land's End diaper bag and it works very well for us. I chose the bag, my husband got to choose the color (I make him carry it when we go out). I typically keep the following in it:

    1) my purse (it's a small one)
    2) 2 pacifiers and 2 toys
    3) 2 bottles and 4 cans of formula
    4) a change of clothes
    5) 2 blankets and 2 cloth diapers (burp cloths)
    6) 6-8 diapers

It holds quite a bit. I agree with the other moms who posted about back-pack styles though. I've knocked the midgets in the head a couple of times when it slides off my shoulder. Aside from that, it's a good bag for the price.

Oh, your ticker is so pretty! And WTG for making it to 31 weeks on bedrest! :yahoo: Woot! I also vote for a backpack style diaper bag for all aforementioned reasons. They are roomy (but not gigantic) and easy to carry.

Keep up the good work Mama, and enjoy your shopping! :clapping: :bow2:

I second this. I have the land's end do-it-all and love it. The backpack version looks nice too if you are looking for that a backpack type, but this one that she mentioned is perfect and came highly recommended!

I love my Skip Hop Double ... I have a regular one too, but with 3 kids, this is what I needed.

i didn't like carrying a backpack. It was too hot, too heavy and took too much hassle to adjust for getting it on and then for proper positioning for ergonomic benefit not hinderance. We bought the one that was rec 'd by other twin mommies. DH used it 3 times and now we just stare at each each time we go out. Well I should also add that it doesn't fit under snap and go dble very well. So I thought about wha twould fsomething rather flat to pull out the side. It was at Target that I had the revelation that I hated the b pack. Twent to the handbag section and looked at beach bags. I found a bag that looks like an over sided purse or a fancy beach bag. it is wide and flat when lsyed on its side. It had an inside zipper and 3 small compartments along the inside lining-one for cell phone. Well i bought it for $15 and love it. I lay 2 onesies 2 changes of clothes a ziploc of 10 diapers, ziploc of wipes, a fold out water proof pad a ziplock of meds, pacifiers etc. 2 books, my wallet, coupon wallet/purse and burpy white diapers, and 1 bottle and 1 can of fromula.
I also carry the free insulated lightweight black bag from enfamil/hospital. In that I carry 8-10 small cans of good start and 6 bottles with liners. and 4 burpies and 2 rec. blankets.
I got in the habit of calling one bag the changing and one bag the feeding. But had a fit when DH and I ran out of liners at his families house and I washed a used liner to feed Amy. So ever since then each bag must have 2 diapers, wipes and a bottle with a can of formula. Both bags fit in the snap and go basket and can be reached into or pulled out without removing the 2 carseats. It turns out that both bags by themselves/empty weigh less that the diaperbag backpack empty. I can also hook the bigger bag on the handle bars with those great turn around hooks--2/$2.50. Well, that's my story. :D Works fine now lets see what happens when th bottles get bigger and I need to have snacks for them...oh yeah, and mommies have to eat too.lol sorry for typos baby in arms

I also have this bag and like it alot, however, it is big. I would recommend also getting a smaller bag for quick trips. Believe it or not I used the free one from the hospital more than the big bag up until a couple weeks ago. I use a smaller bag for errands and use the big Land's End bag for all day or overnight trips.

I haven't bought any of these, so I can't make a personal recommendation. But, I've also been shopping online a bit for a new bag, and these are the ones that looked good:

The problem I'm having, is that my babies are still taking bottles & I'm having a hard time finding a bag with 2 bottle compartments. I have a backpack style bag from Land's End, but don't use it very often. What I don't like about it is, in order to get something out I have to take it off. I like the messenger styles, across the shoulder, so I can just reach down & get whatever I need.
