Hi everyone. I just wondered what your opinions were on diaper bags after putting them to use for awhile. I just ordered and received the Skip Hop Duo which I read about on of the Sticky's or posts but it seems so huge. I have a 3 year old and recall how quickly my normal size diaper bag filled with just one baby to care for so maybe it is possible to fill that huge Skip Hop Duo bag but just wanted your opinions as well.

    Thanks so much!

I have 2 diaper bags that I use on a regular basis. I have the Skip Hop Double Duo that I use for overnight trips or long trips, and really got a lot more use the first year. I also have just a regular back pack which is what I mostly use now. I think I'd recommend both! I also use my Skip Hop for trips to the pool and beach, but I use my back pack to keep in the car so I don't have to pack a bag for emergencies every time we go somewhere.

We have two bags as well. I use the Skip Hop Duo Double for things like church, visiting friends, anyplace we'll be for more than an hour or so. Then I have a smaller one that can carry two bottles, a few diapers and wipes that I use for running to Target, the grocery story and shorter trips like that.

Yes, you will fill it up, especially when they get to the 6-8 month stage and you have to pack, food, snacks, diapers, change of clothes, bibs, spoons, Motrin (just in case), burp cloths, a few extra toys, teething supplies, etc. I can easily fit 8 bottles in the Skip Hop if we're going to be gone all day.

I have a Ju Ju Be Packabe and I love it. It was great for when you had to have outfits, bottles, formula containers, and toys. Now its perfect for cups, snacks, and a change of clothes.

Huge is good for the first year! Then you will probably use that one only on some occasions & will want to switch to a smaller one for everyday.

I love my Skip Hop Duo Double as well. It is really great for day trips or when we are out and about during the day. If i was making a quick trip to the store i could probably only use a small one with just a few essintials, but the Skip Hop Duo Double is fine ill stick it under the cart or strap it to the stroller and go!

I have a Columbia diaper bag and it does hold a lot but for all-day trips it fills up very quickly.

I'm asking for a Skip-Hop Duo Double for Christmas. :)

I use a big messenger book bag as my big bag, it also doubles as a stroller bag.

I recently found a skip hop "spark" on sale at target for $15. LOVE IT! I do have a back pack but needed a "medium" bag as a stroller bag and one I can carry inside if I want. The spark is the perfect size.

I love my Skip Hop Double Duo too. I didn't get it until the boys were 6 months though and needed something to last longer through the day. Before that I used two smaller diaper bags. One I bought before I was even married (it was Eric Carle and I am a HUGE fan of his books) and the other was a freebie from the hospital. I kept one in the car w/clothes, extra diapers and used the other one most often. I love that my Skip Hop fit 8 bottles if needed along with diapers, clothes, wipes, bibs and all my stuff too. As they grew the clothes were replaced by fingerfoods and sippy cups (which fit awesome on the outside) and snacks for me. I plan on using this thing when I go back to teaching and the boys are in school. It will make a great work bag too!
