If there is a list somewhere - please point me in the right direction.

What are the must haves for the diaper bag?

    Thanks!

I *should* know if there is a sticky, but I don't!!!
So I will just tell you what I keep in my diaper bag :)

    Diapers
    Wipes
    Changing pad
    Disposable changing pad covers
    Binkies (few extra)
    Formula
    Bottles
    Burp Cloths/Bibs
Disposable baggies to put dirty diapers in
    Diaper cream
    Hand Sanitizer
    Pediatricians business card
Extra change of clothes for each baby
    Infant Tylenol
couple small toys/blankets/bottle of water (well, those actually 'live' in our car)

    Mommy stuff:

    keys
    wallet
    cell phone
    lip balm

    I *think* that is everything.......?!

    I agree with PP.

Here's what I keep in my "everyday" diaper bag:
    Diapers
    Wipes
    Changing pad
    Disposable changing pad covers
Formula (I recommend the tupperware container that you fill up with formula so you don't carry the heavy formula can)
    Bottles
    Burp Cloths/Bibs
    Diaper cream
    Hand Sanitizer
Extra change of clothes for each baby
    Infant Tylenol

However, in my car and DH's car:
I also keep am extra diaper bag with......
    Diapers
    Wipes
    Changing pad
    Diaper Cream
    Hand Sanitizer

    Just in case :D

Good eye to the OP! I just looked all over to see if diaper bag essentials are listed anywhere and they aren't! So momma's please post your diaper bag must-haves and then I will add this thread to our FY Wiki for future refernce.

Here is what I had in my diaper bag during the FY (this is for every day trips and not traveling):

At least 4 diapers for a typical afternoon out
    Wipes (LOTS!)
    Burp cloths (usually 4-6 because I had a mega-spitter!)
Nasal bulb (my spitter would something spit up out her nose)
    Powdered formula
    Bottle of water
Pre-mixed bottles (if we were going to be out during a feeding)
    Gas drops
An extra outfit for each girl, along with a sweater for each too.
Two receiving blankets (great for changing pads)
    Two teething toys
My wallet, cell phone, lip gloss, mints, keys, purell
Cheerios and a jar of baby food, bibs, and a spoon (for when they started solids).
LOTS OF ZIPLOCK BAGS!!! Useful for SO many things.

I would always repack my bag when I got home so I would be ready for the next trip out.

It really depends on how long we are going to be out, but my diaper bag is typically stocked with the following:

6 Diapers (3 each although I keep an additonal 2 each in my changing wallet that stays in the stroller).
Wipe holder (I like the pampers senstive container I found at Target I think - holds about 30 wipes & again I have an extra in the changing wallet).
Changing pad (wallet is one, too).
Diaper Cream (wallet has one, too)
2oz bottle of purell (wallet has one, too)
4 bottles (prefilled with H20 - my general rule is to have 1 bottle each more than the number of feedings I think we are going to be out for just in case as there is nothing worse than running out of food and in general things always take longer than you think and in the metro area sometimes I get unexpectedly stuck in traffic).
4 premeasured formula containers (found a great use for the 2oz Enfamil grad-u-feed bottles they gave us in the hopsital - they take Dr Brown's screw on caps & hold 4 scoops of formula enough to make 8oz).
    2 bibs
2 cloth diapers (aka jack of all trades - burp cloths, spit clean up rags, snot rags, etc.)
    2 Pacifiers
disposable diaper baggies (I use these for other things as well like containing dirty clothes)
    Insurance card & pedi card
2 full sets of clothes (1 for each baby)
fabric sling (in case I unexpectedly have to carry one - which happens about 50% of the time).
    Infant Tylenol & orajel
    Thermometer
    Bulb syringe
    Travel pachage of kleenex
    4 small toys
2 blankets (though we rarely use these)

And like a pp mentioned - I repack when I get home (not before going out again because by them I have forgotten what we used, and what we needed).

Wow you ladies bring a lot in your diaper bag! I have 2 diaper bags, one for if I'm going for a long time and one for if we're just going for a few hours.

In the smaller bag I pack:
A change of clothes for each baby
2 diapers for each baby (4 total)
    the travel changing pad
the formula dispenser with 2 servings of powdered formula for each baby
2 baby bottles - either pre-filled with H2O or I also pack a bottle of water
    travel baby wipes
    travel size butt paste

    That's it!

In the bigger bag it depends on where we are going/what we are doing!
