Okay.. so I was thinking about these things tonight.. I remeber the hospital supplied diapers, but what about wipes? Should I add them to the diaper bag too?

Also should I throw in a few bottles (in case the whole breast thing doesn't work out?) so they can get used to our bottles, or will they be fine with the hospital brands and then switch to ours when we get home??

I know, I am totally over thinking everything huh? I just want to be efficent with what I pack and what I don't. Okay I think that is all I am obsessing about tonight! Tomorrow is 31 weeks! Yeah!

You are exactly one week adhead of me! I'll be 30wks tomorrow! :)

As for the rest, I think they have wipes in the hopital. When I asked my nurses (I'm on hospital bedrest) about if I needed to bring any of that stuff, they said no. But that may vary from hospital to hospital. Maybe ask your doctor. I'm sure s/he would know.

    Congrats on 31wks!!!

You aren't obsessing! This will be kids number 3 and 4 for me and I swear I started my "for the hospital list" at about 9 weeks!! Yep, use those hospital diapers like there is no tomorrow! The hospital usually has wipes too. . . my babies could only use Pampers Sensitive wipes or they got horrible rashes from day one, so I took my own with son #2! As far as bottles, I guess it depends what kind you're using at home. Most hospitals use bottles with either a standard nipple or an Orthodontic nipple- esp. if you are breastfeeding too.

The one thing I always forget for the hospital is a bunch of socks for ME or slippers - - something to make a nice clean barrier between me and the hospital floor!!!

The hospital provided diapers, wipes, powder, t-shirts, socks, blankets, burp rags, alcohol wipes (for the cord), and hats. For feeding, they provided pre-made formula (we had a choice between Enfamil or Similac) with standard nipples. You can always call up to L&D and ask and if there's something special you want to use, you're always welcome to pack it. We were allowed to take everything home, except for the linens.

My experience with each of the boys has been the same. They provided everything we needed, but were more than happy to let us use our own things if we wanted.

Our hospital provided everything. The only thing that we brought for the babies were their coming home outfits, and DH brought those on the day we all left.

The hospital I delivered at provided diapers and wipes but the wipes were more like a napkin that you had to wet prior to wiping the babies. They also provided pre-made bottles of formula with the individual sterized nipples.

Also when you are leaving the hospital be sure to empy the cart of any left over diapers, wipes, formula etc. They are not allowed to use it for other patients due to sanitary issues so if you dont take it they will just toss it in the trash anyway. We left the hospital with 8 t-shirts, several blankets and hats, 20+ diapers, 20+ bottles of formula, and tons of alchohol swabs, sanitary pads, wipes, and petroleum jelly (for DS's circ). So you may want to pack a small bag in with your stuff to carry that stuff home in.
