Diaper Bag Dilemma

So, I have recieved three diaper bags from my showers. Do I really need to keep all three? Probably not! But, I'm torn on which to keep ( Do I need two?)

We have the Diaper Dude, which I think is nice because my DH won't mind carrying it

Then, we also have the Skip Hop which is cute but not overly large and I like the fact that it will attatch to the stroller (we have the baby blue color)

Then I also have this really cute Kate Spade Diaper bag which is not something I would have splurged on for myself but is super cute.

Soooo, I'm not really sure what my question is but I am thinking that having three pretty $$$ diaper bags is a bit unpractical(is that a word?). I love the Kate Spade but is it practical? It was purchased at an Outlet store so if I do return it, most likely I will just get store credit at that store....and of course wouldn't be able to get anything for the babies. And the Skip Hop was sent to me in the mail as a gift without a reciept so, I don't think I can take that one back either. The Diaper Dude is perfect for Dh so I don't think I will return that one. Oh, I just don't know what to do???!!! Plus I'm bored and have nothing else exciting to think about today

Soooo....do I need three? Or what should I do??? Just curious what you all would do. Thanks!

 

I would keep them all. You got all of them for gifts so they didn't cost you anything, and plus you could switch them out and have a variety of different diaper bags. I have 3 diaper bags. I have a small pink jeep one & a large black jeep one & a backpack diaper bag. I mostly use the small pink one. It is so cute because my husband doesn't mind to carry the pink one at all. Don't feel bad, I have three too!

We have the diaper dude for DH and a normal one and a kate spade one too!!!! I was told by my mom and friends that I will probably want to keep one in the car with 'extra supplies' when I'm out and about.

I will use the normal one for day to day and the kate spade (which is a little on the small side) for extra diapers and outfits (stuff like that) because I hear you will need that for the unexpected explosions . And well the diaper dude for DH so he won't feel "wimpy" for carrying a diaper bag.

Heck we had, lets see, off the top of my had with DS we had more than 5! So with the twins, I have all his still, but I did get a new one too! They are my weakness!

 

I say keep them all! You just never know what you'll need and when. And your DH can just have his very own and the other two can my just for you! (My DH and I will have our own bags because we couldn't agree on one to share. )

 

yeah, I would keep them too, but only because you can't get a different one for the cute one.

we are planning on getting the diaper dude and also one for the stroller, maybe also a 3rd large one, if I don't want to swtich the stroller one on and off. I am planning on user the diaper dude one for myself too!

We have the SkipHop Duo Double and LOVE it. With three little ones, it makes outtings a lot easier on us. DH likes it because it's camo (what can I say...he's from Mississippi ). But, all of those are cute and personally, I don't think it hurts to have more than one. Especially if you know you might be a little hard on them. It would be nice to have an automatic replacement, or another option if you decide you're not in the mood for one.

 

Until you start carrying things around, you won't really know which one you prefer. Everyone seems to have different opinions as to the best bag for them. As for me, I didn't like the one I wound up getting (not one of the ones you have) and switched to a backpack that we had with lots of compartments. I found out that I preferred to have something on my back and have both arms free. I also started keeping a stash of things in my car so I didn't have to carry as much in my bag...I actually stopped carrying diaper bags all together when my kids were around a year or so.

 

I would keep all 3. You never know - you could get bored with one and switch to a different one. Or, if you really don't want to keep them I bet you would get good $ out of the Kate Spade one on Ebay. That's great that you got 3 nice ones.... I would love to have your "problem" I have a thing for purses.... I think it'll switch to cool diaper bags in a few months!

 

Since they were gifts and all each have their own charm I would keep all three. I have a sever purse fetish and so when I started picking out diaper bags I got extremly picky, but on a cheap budget. I hit up ebay and got a designer diaper bag for a lesser price. Then I was shopping at Walmart and they had a diaper bag I fell in love with. I had no idea Walmart had anything I would like. All three rock. I didn't think I would want two, but you can change them like I do with purses. And it will just make you feel good carrying a designer diaper bag. I swear it will add a strut to your walk.

 

I have the skip hop duo double and that is after 2 previous ones. I love it and never use the other ones.

You definately want one to keep in the vehicle with extra clothes, snacks and diapers. Have that be your emergency bag.

 

I want to add that I had the reg. skip hop and I always had to carry another bag along with it. I felt it was too small. That is why I got the duo double.
