diaper allery question

My boys wear pamper cruisers during the day and huggies overnight at night.

they have had a rash so 2 weeks ago at their 6 month app, the dr. gave them nyastin (sp?) and it has not helped. I am thinking it is a diaper allergy.


Here is my question...If they had no problem with pamper swaddlers, can they have a problem with pamper cruisers. Are they made with the same things???

I need help on knowing which to switch first (cruisers or huggies overnight). Now as I am typing this I can ask myself also is it a food allergy? It does not seem to bother them, It is more pinkish then bright red and there is no raised bumps. Any help would be appreciated.

If it is a problem with the huggies overnight, do you have any other overnight diapers that you like?

I know there was discussion about this some other time. My girls both wore the swaddlers and switched to the Cruisers, no problem. However, I know there are some moms on here that said that their twins couldn't wear the Cruisers...
Since others have said this, I would start there. Do you have sensitive skin? Food allergies, have you introduced anything new?

 

no i dont have sensitive skin; I am greek! But my husband is Irish so my little guys have very Irish skin!

 

the same thing started to happen with us recently. we switched to using huggies during the day and the rash has started to go away. we still use cruisers at night but are probably going to swtich to overnights soon. so it is possible that they would be allergic to the change in diapers. we also used swaddlers when they were little with no reactions. I would say to try a different brand for a little while and see if that helps.

 

Mine had an aweful rash from pampers and they had used pampers preemie so I was shocked they had such a bad reaction. Call pampers and complain, they will ask for the # on the diapers and what size bag or box it was. They need to send the info to their safety dept at pampers to make sure there isnt something wrong. Anyways when I called them they sent me a ton of coupons for free diapers for Luvs, since we dont have a problem with those

 

My guys just recently started with this awful diaper rash. I am wondering if it's our diapers. They had been wearing Pampers Swaddlers, but we switched to Huggies (major clearance sale of Huggies at Target). I just bought a pack of Pampers Swaddlers tonight and we're going to see if that helps things.

Who knew!?! I'd just try switching one of them and see what happens. It may take a few days to notice a change. (I know that seems like forever, believe me.)
