DH quote of the week

DH and I each take one baby during bedtime routine of sponge bath and bottle. We also brush their teeth at that time. Dh does Lily's bedtime routine and she inevitably ends up grabbing the tooth brush from him. Wrestling the toothbrush from her at that point results in a complete meltdown on her part. He asked if I would brush her teeth during the day instead. I really just cannot remember to do it during the day and besides, the point is to do it after her last bottle. So I asked DH if he could try it again but maybe offer her the sippy cup for a sip of water instead of the toothbrush, he did not like this idea and replied


"those teeth are just going to fall out anyway and she will get a whole new set"

That's funny! Just FYI... we now use a finger toothbrush (basically a long soft plastic thimble with bristles on the end) because we had toothbrush meltdown too. I brush the girls teeth right before bed and they love chewing on the "toothbrush". It's attached to my finger so they can't take it away. This might work for you guys too.

 

What if you use 2 toothbrushes, one for Dad to use and one for her to hold and try with.
