This may sound silly, but I swear my DH can't smell when they poop. I came back from the gym this morning and as soon as I held Jake, I could tell he pooped. DH said he could not smell a thing. <_< Same thing happened last week with Josh. The worst part is both times they were in their jumperoos so you could imagine the mess :bad:

I can walk in a room and tell right away.

Maybe it's because I'm with them all day or I just have a nose for poop.

Oh he can probably smell them LOL

I know I am bad and will have a baby who needs a diaper change..hubby will walk in the room and I will hand the baby right to him and then walk out the room, so he is stuck changing him...shoot, I change diapers all day, it won't kill him.

Hmmmmm- same thing happens with my DH. I usually just say- "Oh- can't you smell that? Better change him." and I walk out of the room. Dianna's right- we change them most of the day- they can pitch in every once in a while. ;)

Yep, at the beginning my DH could never smell it either...I just started handing the baby over everytime and now miraculously he has started smelling it on his own.

LOL. My DH is the same way. They can have one of those really nasty smelly ones and he swears he can't smell it. It is funny b/c when I leave DD at home and take DS shopping he always tells me what nasty poops she had and how hard they were to change. I think he just does not want to change them if he knows I am home and will.

There is such a thing as selective hearing, I would say this is selective smelling.

I don't know...I'm going to take DH's side on this. My DH has had nose problems and really can't smell well. He makes me smell the boys and then he'll change them if they need it. I really don't think he can smell it.

DH can smell them up close, but mama can smell them a mile away!
