Noticed some body odor on one of the girls (actually just under one armpit), last week or so. Just went out today and bought her one of the crystal type but not sure if this will really mask this. Has anyone found these effective for kids. Also do you use a special kids deodrant on your kids, that's if they need it. She is totally excited about using deodrant.

Oh wanted to also ask did you start the other twin on deodrant even if she didn't need it or wait. I told the other one she doesn't need it yet. Thoughts/ideas appreciated tks amanda

Can't help with the one twin or both thing, mine are two. But as far as my first DD I went for a sensitive, "teen" formula when she first needed it, did't seem to bother her. She has since graduated to Secret since she's older but, I never bothered with the crystal type. Just trial and error with deodorants. In my opinion, if you find one that doesn't affect their skin and smells good, why not let both use it. It will help them both get into the habit of taking care of themselves and they'll smell good too. Ahhh growing up

I bought the fruity scents geared towards tweens when I got my girls deodorant for the first time and I just went ahead and got it for both of them. I think it was called Teen Spirit, but Secret makes some fruity ones too. I've never tried the crystal for myself or them, so not sure of its effectiveness against odor.

thanks everyone think will try some of one's you suggested I've tried the crystal myself and not too effective so not sure why I bought, maybe thought less chemicals as she's only seven. Twinmomtodana yes good idea to get for both and get them into the habit of using.

I had this issue with Maddie and got her the Tom's of Main in lavender. It works well and it doesn't have the chemicals that the other ones have in it.

I am able to get Tom's of Maine at Walmart. They don't have a large selection of scent there, but it works.

I get it at work- Target. I know that we have Lavender, Apricot, unscented and maybe something a little more "masculine" smelling.

We use Teen Spirit. When I got some for my oldest DD, I also got some for the twins. The twins only use it occasionally.

This is what I got for Tess as well. It works & it has no aluminum, which I like, especially since she is still so young!
