My fluid levels have been in the range of 4-5 throughout the pregnancy and today they were both around 2.4. At my last appt 2 weeks ago they both were 3 something. My OB said they are still in the "normal" range and we would just watch them closely. I have a growth scan Friday and then I see her again next Wednesday. She did make a comment about being in the AZ heat and that we were all probably a little dehydrated and I should increase my water intake. Just wondering if those of you who had low fluid levels toward the end of your pregnancy experienced a gradual or sudden decline in levels, and what the outcome was. What do they do if it does goes below 2?

Mine always hovered around the 2 range (we never got above 3-4) - for both of them. I think as you get farther along, the pockets aren't as deep either, since the baby fills up more space! I would do like they said, drink plenty of water, and get plenty of calories and rest so the babies can pee more!

I think if they go below 2, they'll watch you closer and make sure the babies are still peeing and all functioning ok - not peeing is the first sign of a problem, but everything could be ok still, they'll just monitor you more closely - they should anyway, since you are mo/di, right?

Yes they monitor closely but I wasn't sure if going below 2 meant you had to deliver or if they just continue to monitor. :)

Well she said that it was still within the normal range and since both of the babies had the same levels that she was thinking it was dehydration and that we would keep a close eye on it. I am going back Friday though but I am getting nervous. The TTTS website says that it should be between 3 and 8. I don't know what to think at this point.
