Lately my girls have been going morening, noon and night. Usually they take turns so it has felt pretty much non stop. However, yesterday and so far today, I have felt very little. I am talking going an hour or two (sometimes 3) without feeling them. Usually they really get going after I eat, but yesterday or today that isn't the case. When I went to L&D Friday, they gave the movement chart to me and told me to sit down twice a day for a half hour and I should feel five movements from each baby during that time. They have honestly failed it. I am thinking to call, but what would they do? I have a fetal dopplar here at home and checked them twice yesterday and both had normal hbs.

if they have failed it, you should call. Although, I've only been getting 'regular' movements this past week at 27w. Btw, how about if the babies are resting during the time you decide to sit down and count? Just curious.

Good luck. I'm sure everything is fine but you should call just to set your mind at ease.

I am obviously not a doc and have no medical experience but I don't buy into the kick count thing. Neither my Peri or OB did either. It is just too hard to differentiate between the babies movements in my opinion.

Did you happen to have a more active day yesterday? When you are more active the babies are less active. Did you try the sugary drink/food trick and then lay down?

As with anything that just doesn't seem right to you, calling the doc is always an option if for nothing more than peace of mind!

I was busy yesterday but no more busy than normal. I was at Emily's Ped for 2hrs sitting and felt very little.

This morning I had cereal and OJ and have been sitting here. Not much movement at all....very little. I am probably going to call. Do I get a break? Friday thought I was leaking fluid, Saturday I discharged quite a bit of old blood from them doing the fluid test the night before (it went away and was a one time thing, but scared the daylights out of me), and now this.

I called and the nurse said it was normal for them to not move constantly during this time. She said that they are starting their sleep patterns and to expect this the next few weeks. When I asked about the chart, they said they really don't do those til about wk 32.

I don't know....I just think it is weird they went from super busy on Sunday to hardly anything now. It is like night and day. She said as long as I feel them here and there not to worry....easier said than done.

I also found out I can help paint the nursery as long as it is well ventalted and I wear a mask. When DH put the primar up, I smelt very little fumes so he was definetly venting the room out very well. Maybe we can paint tonight and tomorrow evening since the weather is excellent! I can at least do the painting by the floor...ceiling is all his.
