I expected a decrease in appetite since I've heard about it many times occuring in both singleton and twin pregnancies, but is 32 weeks too early for this to start happening? I slept in today until 11 am and still wasn't hungry when I got up (although I made some eggs). I want to make sure I'm nourishing these little ones enough. Should I be concerned or did anyone else experience this?

I should mention so far I've gained a good amt of weight and the babies were in the normal range for size/weight at my last u/s.

    Thanks

I was hungrier the first part of my third trimester until about a week ago when I started noticing a decrease in my appetite, so I guess that is about right (I will be 34 weeks tomorrow). I get full so fast, and then notice it takes a long time for me to get hungry again.

I think as long as the babies are still growing properly, it is okay. I would ask your doctor at your next appointment if you are concerned, but I think it is probably normal.

If I remember correctly my appetite started to decrease around the beginning of my third trimester because I had heartburn sooooo bad it was almost painful to eat. I had gained enough weight by that point that I felt confident my babies would be okay.

I lost my appetite around the same time also I would eat a little at a time and feel full or not really want to eat that much...totally normal the babies are taking up all the room in there.

I think it is normal. Things are starting to get pretty cramped in there.

Agree with all the voices above!
Had the same thing occur, even without the pronounced heartburn that afflicts so many multiples mamas to be...

Just felt CONSTANTLY full and was very concerned they (the babies) wouldn't grow. I actually ended up LOSING weight in those last weeks, and only say so now as reassurance to you...as even though I lost weight, the babies were still gaining.

Always ask your doc for reassurances if you need them (stress is never good!), but you are not alone in your experience!

All the best for a healthy, happy meeting with your duo!

I think it happened to me at about the same time. You still have to try and have several small and nutritious meals/snacks. Ideally, you're supposed to gain 1 lb per week during the last trimester. Thius loss opf appetite may be temporary though. Recently, my appetite came back, I guess because the babies have gone down and relieved my stomach from some pressure. After 2 weeks without gain weight, at my last visit I had gained 3 lbs! I'm really eating a lot!

    Good luck!
