Decisions Decisions

Well we talked dates for my c/s with the dr today. He said it is up to me if we do May 1 or 5th. I really would like to be home for E&E's bday on May 3 which is possible since the dr normally only keeps c/s moms 48hrs. If we do it on the first, dh can spend more time helping before he goes back to work. If we wait until the 5th, then I will be home for E&E's bday. We are waiting to have their party and a welcome baby party in June. What would you do?

 

I'd pick the 5th. If it was me, I'd rather be able to have the kids' birthday and then the c/s. Just me though. Good luck with your decision! How exciting though, you know you're getting close when the dr. starts talking about dates!

 

I'd also go with the 5th. Have the party when you are uncomfortably pregnant....I think that would be better than trying to do it the same day you get home from the hospital... Besides...Cinco de Mayo is a cool bday!!

 

I think if it were me, I would also lean toward the 5th. Then (unless the baby decides to come beforehand) you know that you will home on the 3rd. You would be able to go out and get a cake, and maybe some take out and just not worry. You would then be able to spend the next day on YOURSELF.

 

I think I would go for the 5th too...I would want to keep the b-day plans with the twins and stuf flike you said. Goodluck with your decision!

 

I agree with everyone too, the 5th would be a better day for everyone.

 

Well, I guess I am the odd man out here. I think I'd do the 1st. Expecially if you aren't planning a party until June. That way, DH can spend more time with the new baby and you can still do a little something to celebrate the twins big day. Unless you are having a big party for them, I'm not sure what I'd do.

I am asking about a date next week, and if I am allowed to pick, I am going to pick a Thursday, so that DH can spend the whole following week at home with the new baby, not most of it at the hospital.

I would do it on the 1st. I would take the help from DH. I choose May 2nd for mine so DH won't miss much work b/c it will be over the weekend.
