My interlock driveway is about 10 years old, and I’ve noticed some stones are sinking, creating uneven spots. It’s starting to look bad and feels unsafe when walking. Has anyone repaired interlock before? Do I need to redo the whole driveway or just fix the affected sections?

I had this exact issue a few years back with my front path. The great thing about interlock is that you don’t need to redo the entire surface. I found https://oakshs.ca/interlock-repair/ helpful in learning how repairs work. Basically, the stones in the sunken area are carefully lifted, the base is re-leveled and compacted, then the same stones are placed back. This makes it look brand new without the huge cost of replacing everything. In my case, the repairs were done in just a day, and you can’t even tell which part was fixed. It also reinforced the base so the problem wouldn’t repeat as quickly. If your driveway is generally in good condition, repairing specific areas is the most cost-effective and efficient solution.
