dd elena is a big climber and she's pretty good at it! she sleeps in a pnp in a room with her sister, who also sleeps in a pnp. they are bad influences on each other, but we have no other room to separate them, lol. so anyway, she's taken to grabbing on to the top of the pnp and climbing her legs up on the netting and trying to climb up. luckily there's been no success yet, but i'm sure it will happen sooner rather than later. at almost 17 months, i think it may be too soon to go to a big girl bed, am i wrong? i've heard about those coverings that go over cribs that prevent babies from climbing out, but is there such thing for pnp's? thanks.

IM not sure if they make crib tents for PNPs but I can tell you we moved our twins to toddler beds at 19 months and it went GREAT!!!!!
My 2 also share a room and were not climbing out but I was getting to big to lift them up and down. We made sure their room was baby proofed, let them keep all their same bedding/lovies etc and we made the change.
I have no regrets! There was just a thread not to long ago about all the successful toddler bed transitions even at young ages such as yours/ours :)

    Best of luck!

if you don't want to go to toddler beds, maybe you could try sleep sacks... I'd think that they would keep them from being able to climb out. and if you need to, you could try putting them on backwards if you think they can work the zippers. good luck.

Halloween morning Nicolas woke us up by knocking on my door and saying "Mommy?"

He got out of his pnp and came upstairs.

The next night, he stayed in.

This morning he turned off his fan. Turned off his radio. Shut his bedroom door. Came upstairs and started playing. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

I'm lucky cuz I don't worry about what my kids will get into w hen they're alone. Nic sleeps downstairs by himself and I guess now he can get out of his bed. (about time, he's 25 months!)

Gabe is in a crib so I don't think he'll get out for a while. However, if they shared a room.. he'd be out too!

The funny part is, he STACKS blankets up like ten miles high to get out. It's the cutest thing EVER!

P.S. If they were younger, I'd figure out a way to keep them in. They are old enough now where they're okay to get out.

they do make the crib tents for pack n plays. type in pack n play tent on amazon.com and it will pop up but they are expensive.
Gotta weigh that with whether or not you are ready to deal with them having access to everything if they are in a toddler bed:(

We moved our girls to toddler beds at 20 months and all went super well. They're 30 months now and we've had no real problems. So if you think they're ready... why not switch?!
