DD had her eye surgery!

    A week ago tuesday, DD had double eye surgery for strabismus (lazy or cross eyes) One eye was not stronger then the other so sometimes neither one crossed, other times the right did and other times the left did. In the link I showed pictures of her left crossing, her right crossing and then I showed her a week after the surgery. We are so happy with the results!! The doctor was very optimistic that she would not have to wear glasses and that things looked great. we go for a follow up December 11th so we will find at more. She was such a little trooper. Other then waking up after the surgery she barley cried at all.

    wow, she is so beautiful! glad everything went/is going so well--and i have to say, the cake is super cute, too!

    Oh you must be so thrilled. My cousin's little girl needed 3 surgeries, glasses, and probably another surgery. That would be so wonderful if she doesn't even need glasses. Regardless she's a beautiful little girl. Congrats.

    Wow, she heals fast! DS had had 2 surgeries and his eyes are red for a long time. She is beautiful! I hope things continue to go well for you!

    Isnt it amazing what a difference the surgery makes ?? My dd had the same surgery on both eyes when she was 12 yrs old. I was just thrilled to see her with PERFECT eyes after 10 years (her eyes didnt cross until she was 2 yrs old)!

    Your dd has such beautiful eyes too !! Glad to see the surgery was such a success ! :)

    Did she have to wear glasses before? My daughter has this problem and her doctor has her in glasses to try and to correct it before surgery.

    Yeah, we started her off in glasses and after a few months I noticed her eyes crossing more often rather. So it was decided that surgery was the next step. We then went 6 weeks without glasses to let her eyes rest and relax before her surgery and so the proper adjustments could be made. Hopefully she will not need glasses anymore but we shall see .... Good luck with your daughter. Make sure to post pics of her in her new glasses. I am sure she will look adorable.

    My DD also had this surgery when she was 15 months old. At 4 years She is doing great but we are still waiting to see what kind of binocular vision she has. She passes some of the tests and fails others so not sure yet what she is actually seeing.

    Glad everything went smoothly.
