Dd is having such a horrible time getting to sleep lately. I thought it was because we were sleep training ds, she has always gone to sleep ok. I mean it always took her a while but lately it could take 45 minutes sometimes. I do go back in after a while if I think there may be a problem, like she pooped or is congested and needs nose drops. But most of the time she is fine, just fussy. She doesn't really cry, just babbles, makes noises and rolls around alot. I gave her Tylenol before putting her down to help with her teething and now I am just watching her on the monitor. Ds did not cry or anything tonight and she is so fussy. Oh I also have the ac, humidifier and soft music cd (same one since birth) going as always and tonight I added the twinkle turtle to see if it would help distract her. No such luck. Oh and when she wakes up at 3am, same thing happens. Any tips???

Becca has been the same way lately, she used to be the perfect sleeper - and now it's a battle until she is absolutely ready. She also seems to want to be me with me all the time (I work full time).

If your daughter isn't crying or distrubing your son, I woudl leave her. The problem we have is Jake goes to sleep and if Becca fusses, he wakes up and then it's in stereo!

    Good luck.

Gosh, that sounds exactly like my DD! She also has the 3am wake up call!? Last night I had it and was determined to do something different. Well, she cried at 3am and I moved her a pack and play in the family room...and...NOT ONE PEEP afterwards and she slept until 7am!! (She usually wakes about 5:45!) I do not know if it was a fluke, I will do it again tonight if she wakes, but maybe they need a change or something!? Or maybe it was because I picked her up.

Is she having separation anxiety? Are you feeding her different foods? Mine have separation anxiety, and my DD has been gassy lately because I am giving more foods. Those have been have my only attempts at explaining this to myself...

((((hugs))) to you! I know it is frustrating. Hope she (and YOU!!) gets some good sleep. Let me know if anything works for you.

ETA: I think it also just must be their ages...I will see if I can find anything about 9/10 month-ers...I am guessing it is a separation thing.

Did it again last night at 3am.At least she didn't wake ds, like she did the night before, that was awful. She is not really clingy or anything, ds is, but who knows it could be separation anxiety. No different foods. They recently got cranial helmets so I was thinking it could be that BUT this started before the helmets, so I guess not. Last night, I did not go in to her. So hopefully a few nights of me not going in there will help her not wake up, although I doubt it since she still does not go to bed easy even when I don't go in then.

Oh geesh, I can feel your tired vibes...can you feel mine?? My DD started crying at 11, I moved her into another room, and she continued to scream until 2am...It was so hard not to get her, but I called my pediatrician yesterday after your original post and she said to let her cry it out...she gave me a talk or two about how I need to do that for HER...it was sooo hard!

It has to be the age, don't you think? Mine are having separation anxiety and stranger anxiety...I don't know. Good luck tonight!!!

She is still having issues. And she is still up at 3am everynight for a while and when she is alseep, she tossed and turns. I hope this phase ends really soon.

We were having the same problem and we finally decided to try flipping their mattresses. I figured maybe they are having a hard time getting comfy, so, tonight is the first night on the new side of the mattress, so we'll see how it goes. Just an idea!
