Since daylight savings time is coming up this weekend, I'm wondering if this will affect the babies schedule any. Right now the babies get up for the day around 7am (on a good day). After daylight savings time, do you think they'll get up at 6am instead? And if so, does anyone have any suggestions for how to get them back on the pre-daylight savings schedule? I'm hoping it doesn't affect them at all, but I'm preparing for the worst!

I started Sunday night… I kept them up 15 min latter… and pushed the morning bottle forward 15 min… and then followed w/ naps and everything else… today we are up to 30 min… so mine normally get up at 6am… they didn’t get up until 6:30… mine normally go to bed at 6:30pm I danced and sang like a mad women keeping them awake until 7pm… hopefully it will all be worked out by the end of next week… I remember w/ my oldest ds it was murder dealing w/ the 5am wake up for what seemed like a month… luckily these guys go w/ the flow more…
The good thing is it will work for my benefit when we spring forward as I have always wanted to move them up to 7-7 (instead of their 6-6 now) but have been lazy about it… only doing it now because 5-5 isn’t my idea of a goo schedule

I think we're in big, big, big trouble. Mine don't care at what time we put them down, they're still up between 5.30 and 6.30am. We tried 7pm, 7.30pm, 6pm and 8pm... no difference.

Lately it's been 5.30am more than 6.30am too so I'm really dreading it :(

I have never done anything "pre-time" change to deviate their schedules. So, yes we were up earlier for awhile and then they finally adjusted themselves internally within about 2 weeks. Now that they are older, I am crossing my fingers that it will only take a couple of days to get with the new time.

Weird. I was just thinking about this last night!!

Maybe they'll just nap really good during the day and not really notice the change.. Hahahhahaha! I'm just dreaming

I haven't found anything that works except jsut waiting it out for a few days and eventually they get back on schedule (and buy do those early wake ups stink until they do!)

I hadn't thought about this....it's usually still light outside when my girls go to bed so maybe it won't affect them?

I'm planning for a rough few days. DD will probably adapt pretty well. DS on the other hand...well, I wouldn't be surprised if his head spins around and pea soup comes flying out.

Ah! I sooo never even thought of that! We get up at 5-5:30 to get ready for work/daycare and sometimes have to wake the girls ourselves, but somedays they like to wake up at 4:30... ugh. Usually go back to sleep till we're ready but still...

We also always did the 15 minute changes over the course of the week until the girls were over 3 years old. Since we'd make the change gradually night by night, this kept them on schedule.

We changed last weekend (am in Europe) and, yes, it affected them. We have put them to bed later but DS still wakes up at 6am (he woke at 7am before the time change). Now he still wakes but goes back to sleep after 10-15 mins. GL!

I was wondering the same thing.
We kept them up later last night and I pushed breakfast off this morning by 30 minutes. Right now they are still up and usually are already back down for a nap.
We'll see. Hopefully by Sunday it will work out!

I am hoping that mine will adjust as well as they did to spring ahead, we'll see (biting nails).

I don't know what will happen - but I'm dreading the possibility of a 4:30a.m. wake-up call from their room! :(

*smacks head* I totally had thought about this...but they are not STTN yet, so I'm not really too concerned about when they wake up...but I so put them to bed a their regular 9pm instead of trying to push them a little further, and now they probably WILL wake up earlier. All well I guess...too late now. Hannah was already super fussy as it was, so I don't know if I could have dealt too calmly for much longer anyways....*sigh*

I rememebr struggling with this at every time change for at least two years. If I recall correctly, it took about a week to adjust. It was rough at our house. I hope each of you have a much smoother transition than we did. Best wishes!
