Both Jake & Josh have been dealing with a cold now for 8 days. They hate the suction and it does not work that well any how. After 5 minutes their noses are running again. I tried saline but that did nothing.

Now when the see a tissue, they go running and crying. And the best part is when they come up and put their faces on me and then I'm cover in snot as well.

I can't wait for this to be over so I can give everything a good scrub down. There is no point in doing it now because as soon as I wash anything, they rub up against it with their faces.

Except for going to the store, I've been stuck in the house with them. I will not take them to any type of playgroup until they are better since I think that is where they picked it up in the first place.

At 13 months, I guess I can't complain too much since this is their first real cold.

    Thanks for letting me vent.

Hugs to you. We've had colds most of the winter around here. Snot on my shirt has become a way of life. I try to put vaseline on their little noses after I wipe them. It seems to make it less painful to keep wiping.

 Poor little guys. :( If you think that it is more green than clear/yellow, I would take them to the pedi again. Never hurts to be too careful with a long running, congested cold. I hope they are better soon.

Ugh, no fun! Hang in there... and if you haven't already, go get some Puffs Plus or Kleenex with Lotion. The lotion in the tissues REALLY helps when you're constantly blowing your (or someone else's) nose.

UGH!!!! This is when you wish they could blow!!! :bad:

The suction is supposed to be used rarely. So you might as well not even bother!!! I'm sorry!!!

I'm dealing with the same thing right now. Both of my girls are Snot Factories! I wipe it away, and it reappears. If I could sell this stuff I'd be rich! They wipe their heads on my clothes, and I'm covered with snot. My one little girl that has hair wipes it into her hair, and then it is all matted and snotty and completely disgusting! This morning one of them had little boogers all over their face, glued on their cheeks and eyebrows. Oh, so gross. I'm drowning in snot over here... you are not alone. My only suggestion is try to force lots of fluids, and use a humidifier....this too shall pass.
