After one week on bedrest we hoped my daughters cervix may have at least stayed the same if not lengthened but it is now .8/.9mm with one babies membrane in the funnel resting on the stitch. She is 24+2 and her fetal fibronectin test for labour showed positive again. Her consultant has said he hopes she will go to 26/28 weeks but it could happen this week. But even so feels positive that she will take home two healthy babies. She is still allowed to use the bathroom but it is only a few feet away.

my cervix stayed at .9 cm from 23 weeks till 33 weeks, and at 33 weeks my water broke and they had to remove the stitch for fear of infection. The stitch was put in at 23 weeks when my cervix was non measurable and I was 2 cm dilated. I was on bedrest for 12 weeks ( 2 weeks before the stitch was put in) My OB did'nt even think that I would make it to 24 weeks. Best of luck, it is possible to go the distance.

My cervix was under 1cm from 23 weeks onward, and baby A's bag of water was down into the funneled portion on many, many occasions.

My stitch held good and strong though, even though my cervix length was under 1cm for so long. Baby A PROM'd at 31 weeks, which is why I delivered. My stitch was still doing okay and probably would have kept them in there at least another week or two, if not longer.

Sending strong cervix vibes to your daughter. The bedrest is the pits, but so very worth it in the end. I spent 15 weeks on bedrest, 4 of those weeks were in the hospital.

I was never given the FFN to know if it was positive or not. But my cervix, at the time of my emergency cerclage, was non-existant and that cerclage did its job.
