I am a mom who likes to keep busy, busy, busy. The girls seem to bore easily. We end up leaving the house to go somewhere at least once a day. Sometimes playgroup, currently the pool, playground, mall etc. But for those of you have kids around the 2 year mark what do you do all day. What does your schedule look like? I want to make sure I am providing all they need and sometimes it is good to see what others do all day to give new ideas and learn where you need to change your current habits.

I have a pretty strict schedule, just because I also run a daycare in my home. But, here is what our day looks like. They usually wake at 7:00 am, eat breaksfast shortly after. I usually let them watch a cartoon if the daycare kids haven't arrived yet. Otherwise we play, play, play till 9:00. Then, we have snack. After snack, we have our preschool time. We do calendar, theme of the day, projects that go along with the lesson. We follow the mother Goose preschool curriculum. My 2 year olds sometimes make it through it all, but very rarely. Their attention span isn't the greatest. At 10:30, I let all the kids watch the cartoon, Word World. I love this one. We eat lunch at 11:00. Then, we go outside to play. we play in the backyard, go on walks ro sometimes walk five blocks to the park. The kids love our walks. 1:0 is nap time. When the kids wake, usually between 3-3:30, we eat snack. we play, play, play and go back outside again at 4:15. If it is too hot out, we just play. the daycare kids leave by 5:15, we eat supper and usually go somewhere as a family in th eevening. I need this as much as they do. It's hard being regulated to your own home every single weekday.

At 2 with my DD I pretty much did the same thing as I do know with 20 MO's and 3.5 YO. Breakfast, play outside or go for a walk, go out and do errands or something fun, lunch either out or home, nap, snack, outside play or walk or inside if its super hot, dinner, playtime with DH or crafts with 3.5 YO, bathe, bed.

We have the same exact schedule/activities.

I guess my other question is if you are doing all this playing all day are you actively playing with them the whole time or do your kids have time where they play by themselves or each other? Are you guys actively teaching letters, numbers and colors. We are in the sense that we point everything out in books or around them.
