Daily Baths?

Is it ok for the boys to not get their sunscreen washed off daily? Aiden has semi sensitive skin & has a prescription cream for when his eczema flairs up (rare lately), but Conner has always seemed fine. Now that it's summer, they get sunscreen daily AND get dirty outside a lot. I try to just wash them down good, but it's MUCH less hassle to just throw them in the tub (which they love).

Does anyone go to daily baths come summertime?

And HOW do you keep food out of your babies' hair once they self feed? Aiden's a regular little hairstylist in his high chair. I almost wonder if it isn't his secret ploy to get into the bathtub daily. NO amount of scrubbing with a washrag ever seems to get the crunch out of his hair......again.....daily baths! Ugh!

I was thinking about starting daily baths once the warmer weather gets here. I dont like the idea of them sleeping with sunblock on and I think rinsing them off in the would be much easier and probably quicker than a sponge bath. Plus it will cool them off and hopefully make them sleep better! ;)

I only wash their hair like once a week though. And they dont self feed yet so I dont have that problem... yet!

Whenever I had sunscreen or bug repellant I did give baths. If I would have used it everyday they would have gotten a bath everyday.

    Ditto Jamie!

And with the hair-dos...I tend to work at it a little bit at a time during the day, and don't worry tooo much about it unless we're going out in public ;)

I definitely step up the baths as the weather gets warmer. Warm weather = daily sweat and sunblock...unlike Winter when there's less action going on. ;)

My kids all get daily baths, year-round. Two of them are prone to eczema, and the daily baths are BETTER for their skin. We always lubricate their dry areas right after the baths. But, I've found that, if I leave any kind of irritant on their skin - sunscreen, spit-up residue in neck creases, even just the sweat and dirt of a regular day - then their skin flares up. So, we have made bedtime baths a routine for all our kids. The twins started getting nightly baths at around 2.5 months old.

We always have done daily baths and you can just get some higher quality bathing soaps and lotions to help with the eczema
