It started out as complete babble, but yesterday Lauren turns to DH and say Da Da, just as plain as day <_< Here she is stuck to my hip & he wins! I tried to explain the whole, "it's easier for them to say that", blah, blah, blah. Of course his head was so BIG he couldn't hear any of that. Well, maybe there is hope for Mattie. I am proud of her though :Clapping:
Pedi's and DR's say they usually do say Da Da first, because it is easier to say... Hang in there! Soon, they will be saying Ma Ma, ALL the time!
I agree, so not fair! Nicky started the da-da awhile ago, so I got us all asking him questions with the answer "Dad" on video, with him of course, saying da-da whenever anyone talks to him. It's too cute! The funny thing is, he seems to always only say it when Dad is right there!
:Clapping: Go Lauren! Kevin says Dada too and its for his Dad. Patrick says Mema and its for me! He is one serious Momma's Boy! Pretty soon they will both be saying Mama!
My sister's DS said "ma" first, and she was very excited .... until she realized that "ma" meant pacifier! "Da" was soon to follow, and it meant daddy.
I haven't really noticed them using "mama" and "dada" on purpose during the day....except for when they are upset and crying...then they always call for "mama" (where's the little heart lovey smiley? )
James only has 2 loves in his life - mama and baba (which means binky), Sean is still in the hooting phase, but he won't let anyone else hold him but me.
My girls have both said 'mama' first, but to be fair I am a single mother and kinda steered them away from 'dada' at first, haha! They say 'det det' when their daddy holds them, though.
